Dates: Monday, June 11th at 2pm- Friday June 16th at 5:00pm

Description: The Pacific MESA Summer Program is a one-week overnight camp that will take place on the Stockton Pacific Campus. The program will bring together MESA students from the district and other parts of the state to learn about environmental sustainability in engineering through hands-on workshops with Pacific School of Engineering and Computer Science professors. Students will then work together in competing teams to create sustainable engineering solutions to on-campus challenges. Winning teams will receive a $800 prize ($200/student) and will see their project come to life on campus. Students will also have access to the full slay of co-curricular activities offered by the Pacific Summer institute each day after instructional and work time https://www.pacific.edu/about-pacific/summer/precollege-summer-program/doing

Eligible participants: Incoming 11th grade (current 10th graders), incoming 12th grade (current 11th graders), and incoming freshmen to Pacific are welcome to apply. First generation students-meaning that neither parent/guardian has earned a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in the U.S. will have first consideration acceptance. The program capacity is 20 students.

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MAY 12th, 2023. Eligible applicants will be informed by May 15th (1st gen) and May 18th (all). Students will confirm their place in the program by sending in their signed permission slip and medical release forms. Program enrollment will close after all 20 slots are confirmed.
