Business and organization entries for the Scarecrow Contest are now closed. Individuals and small groups are welcome to participate in the Fall Harvest Farmers Market and winners announcements at Chess Park on October 15th.

For Individuals:
Individual participants will display scarecrows in Chess Park for the 10/15 awards ceremony and celebration. Scarecrow setup will be the morning of 10/15.

The Monongahela Farmers’ Market will assemble a panel of judges to determine the "Farmer's Choice: Best Scarecrow” for the October 15th celebration, for Under 12 and 12+ divisions, as well as a chance to vote for your favorite market scarecrow.

Guidelines:
Participants are asked to be mindful of public spaces, and respect local ordinances pertaining to sidewalks and egresses. Scarecrows located in front of storefronts are asked to be displayed close to the building during the day, and brought inside at night.
The event is family friendly, and apolitical in nature. Please, no grotesque or gory scarecrows, and no political messaging.

Entrants are encouraged to be creative and show off their talent's for all the community, and visitor's to the Monongahela Area, to enjoy!
