Come join Explorer Post 22 to explore careers in the field of LAW.

Meetings are led by members of the Morris County Bar Foundation and will feature distinguished experts.

Date: Saturday, February 3, 2018

Time: 10:00 am – 11:45 am

Location: Council Service Center, 1 Saddle Road, Cedar Knolls, NJ 07927

The goal of Exploring is to let youth experience the real world of a given profession.  Exploring can help a young person make the choice of their profession and which area of that profession they wish to pursue.  Exploring posts accept young men and women, ages 14-20.  Exploring is a program of Learning For Life which is affiliated with Boy Scouts of America.

 

First meeting, February 3, 2018, from 10:00 am to 11:45 am, will feature guest speaker Carolyn F. O’Connor, Esq. discussing:

(1) What to expect when practicing in a law firm and what is expected of you

(2) What the environment and culture is like in a law firm- including diversity and     sexual harassment policies and work-life balance

(3) What careers in law are available in a law firm.

 

Carolyn F. O’Connor is Regional Managing Partner (NJ office), Wilson Elser, LLP, a National Law Firm.  She is a Managing Partner, Member of the firm’s Equity Committee, Equity Partnership Compensation Chairperson  and Chairperson of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Program.

 

Future meetings will be held monthly on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to noon. 

The fee for joining Exploring Post 22 is $40.
