Volunteer role descriptions

People Facing roles:

Reception - Welcome, direct and help answer queries from our visitors. Use a computer to log information. Volunteering sessions can be one, two or three hours weekly, fortnightly or monthly.*

Meet and greet - Sit, listen and chat to those that come in to the drop-in café to make everyone feel welcome. Volunteering sessions can be one, two or three hours weekly, fortnightly or monthly.*

Café - Make and serve drinks and cakes at our drop-in café. Volunteering sessions can be one, two or three hours weekly, fortnightly or monthly.*

* these roles require a DBS check, policies to be read and a short training session to be completed.

Non-people facing roles:

Cake makers - Bake one of your favourite cakes at home to be used in our drop-in café. Once every month, two months or three months. Just follow a few simple allergen guidelines e.g no nuts and no alcohol

Set-up and take down - Help us get the room ready for our sessions that will include moving tables and chairs. Up to one hour a session either on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

Tea towel and apron washers - Take a turn once a month to wash and dry the tea towels and aprons at home and return to The Keepers in Kingswood to be used in our drop-in café.
