How to reduce lag in minecraft / boost fps!

Ecc's has been getting ddosed lately although this may help fps lag it won't fix block lag/server lag.

 

We have been from recent ddos attacks.

 

I think like 99% of people know what optifine. I had the mod before and it did't help me much. Only sometimes it would make less lag.
I think all of us thought that it would have been something else but how to install optifine too.

 

Whatever your usual fps is is what you should put your max framerate on

Jassimq I am saying most people already know about optifine and there are hundreds of videos how to install it. Optifine also doesn't change much for me. Also, FPS doesn't always mean you are lagging if it is low.

 

This doesnt help with the connection issue. When users complain about lag , if they are not at spawn/market, its usually about connection lag. FPS is hardly ever caused by the server, again unless your in spawn/market.

 

I have actually found that a lot of new users have never heard of optifine, and I know a lot of people lag without it when they go to the spawn shops including myself.

I think if the community educated the newer users about optifine more, we would see more people in the marketplace.

I forget what it stands for but it someone can mess with anothers internet. Really tough to explain. When a person ddoses a person it can shut their connection down to the internet. When it happens to a server it can either cause a mass disconnection or plain lag.

 

When I talk about "lag" i don't mean ddos lag (I know what that is and what it feels like) I mean genuine clint lag. something about vanilla minecraft (minecraft without optifine or any other mods installed) lags when around a large amount of trade signs, and installing optifine helps.
Not just with me, but three other new users claimed to have higher fps in the spawn shops and in general after I walked them through how to find and install optifine.
Just because optifine does not do much for you, does not mean it doesn't help minecraft at all. just means u have a kinda boss computer.
Lots of people need optifine including myself and I'm very glad that the developer keeps it up to date like he does

Ok so Optifine has proven results, that's why it's out.
But, sometimes it only helps a little, if any at all.
Maybe try changing your settings. priMELval made sure that as soon as I got minecraft that I changed the settings to make it faster. Now I have a fast-ish computer, but Abby_Temple still has the worst computer in the world.
What she does to make it faster is go into options, went into video settings, then double clicked the Graphics button.
It gives her instant results, even though she has to do it like every minute.
So if you have a super laggy computer, give that a try! If it works please +1!

Warning! As far a I know, only people in our house have tried it! So it might now work!

 

lol I do that as well like all the time Miss_Anomaly I switch from fast to fancy then back and I get a huge fps boost

like about a year ago I was getting 11 fps on lowest setting so I tried EVERYTHING. and in sg4 (a very old snowy sg arena) I finaly did that and got like 60 fps for like 5 seconds then went back down, so I do that when im about to kill someone in pvp or when an sg is at like 2 seconds starting.
