Hope Housing for Students Application Form: 2023-2024 Academic Year
Are you a student experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, or do you know someone who is?

End Homelessness California is offering interim dorm-style housing for Community College students of all genders that are experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Program Requirements are the following:

(1) 9 units of coursework required. Students enrolled in less than 9 units will be considered if willing to put together an educational plan that meets the program’s minimum requirements for the following semester.
(2) Minimum GPA requirement of 2.0 must be maintained
(3) There is a volunteer requirement for students who are currently not employed.
(4) Applicants who are currently facing housing insecurity (couch-surfing, sleeping in a car, in the streets, in a shelter, or an unstable or unsafe living environment).
(5) Applicants must  single students, with no children ages 18-28.

Participants who meet our requirements, show progress, and are actively involved are offered a one year stay in the program.

Continuous proof of qualification must be shown by the student when requested to confirm their standing in the program. Final candidates must complete a background check, submit transcripts, and show proof of work to be considered for the program. The background check results may not necessarily stop a candidate from being accepted into the program.

The house will have safety & health protocols in place upon opening in regards to the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of beds and residents may be further reduced to align with LA Department of Public Health standards and enforce social distancing protocols.
