CLC-Hunger Week Canned Food Drive

Loyola's Christian Life Community is partnering with Hunger Week in organizing a canned food drive to support the Ignatius Food Pantry, a local community kitchen in Rogers Park. We are inviting you to join us in collecting non-perishable food items around the Rogers Park neighborhood from 9am-noon on Saturday, November 3. Following the collection of the canned goods, we will be reflecting on the experience and enjoying a provided lunch in the Ramber Room, located on the first floor of Mertz Hall. If you would like to participate, please sign up here so we can be sure to order the right amount of food and allow up to organize the groups to collect the canned goods. Please only RSVP if you can definitely be at the event! We hope you can join us for this awesome mission opportunity!

Do I have to be a part of Christian Life Community to be able to participate?

Anyone can participate, whether or not you are in a CLC! Bring friends, roommates, classmates! All they have to do is sign up here!

When is this event happening?

Saturday, November 3, 9am-1pm

Do I need to sign up before hand? Can people show up without signing up beforehand?

Signing up will help us gauge the amount of food to order more accurately, and will also help us to organize people into groups to go around the neighborhoods to collect food.

Would we have to carry all the food we collect and walk around the entire 3 hours?

No! We will have 2 vans that will drive to pick up the cans/food you collect periodically to ease your load!

What do I need to bring on the day of?

Bring yourself! Dress for the weather. No need to bring anything else!
