Hinckley-Big Rock School District employs many excellent teachers and staff members who are devoted to providing students with a quality education while maintaining positive relationships with students, families, and the community. Each year, the district recognizes staff members for their dedication to students and the educational organization.   Recipients of the Hinckley-Big Rock Excellence in Education award are then submitted as nominees for the Dekalb County Excellence in Education award.

We are asking staff, students, parents, and the community to nominate outstanding staff members who have made an impact on a child’s life.   Please take a few minutes to complete the following survey by Friday, April 15th.   Individuals may nominate a Hinckley-Big Rock staff in each of the following categories:

Elementary School Teacher (PreK-5)
Middle School Teacher (6-8)
High School Teacher (9-12)
Support Staff (Paraprofessionals, Secretaries, Bus Drivers, Custodians, etc.)
Administration

Consider all of the following criteria when nominating an individual:
*has served at least four years of continuous service in the Hinckley-Big Rock School District
*has the respect and admiration of students, parents, and co-workers in the school  
*is actively involved in community service that is voluntary and not salaried
