Ninja Penguin's Gandalf the White holding Captain America's Shield and a Master Ball vs. Quaking's Iceman with Icebending and a Yeti
For a mere mortal, it might be hard to defeat the ice powerhouse that is Iceman, but Gandalf is no mere mortal. Gandalf is the master of the Flame of Anor, immortal, and all around a powerful wizard. That right, immortal. After being "killed" by the Balrog, he comes back as a more powerful form, Gandalf the White. Harming him wouldn't do a thing, in fact, it would only help him gain more powers. And if Iceman tried to freeze him, he could just melt his way out using the Flame of Anor or the Ring of Fire. And Iceman's blizzard? Gandalf can just shout "You Shall Not Past!" and stop it with a blazing wall of fire. While Iceman is struggling to even land an effective hit, Gandalf can burn him and his Yeti. And trust me, ice is weak to fire.

But if that somehow wasn't enough, Gandalf could just use his Master Ball. That's right, his Master Ball that contains Dialga. If he somehow manages to screw up his powers of fire, Dialga can just control time to give him another opportunity to win. But Dialga isn't useful only for defensive purposes. It's also a master of steel type attacks, which can slice through ice like it's a piece of pie. It could take that Yeti down in no time at all.

To summarize, Gandalf the White would easily defeat Iceman by using his powers of fire to melt Iceman's ice completely. And if he manages to mess up, he can just use Dialga to travel back in time and correct his mistakes.

Ice Espeon's Yoda supported by paper planes and the ability to create force fields vs. Vracken's Charizard who has a Horcrux and a Kuriboh

Yoda as an old, experienced fighter was able to hold his own against the likes of Count Dooku, an army of clones and The Emperor himself (sounds like a Super Fight entry itself but yeah), so imagine a younger, still vastly experienced and wise Yoda in his prime, which is who I get to choose to fight. Kuriboh would have so little impact against one of the most powerful Force users ever to live that it's not even worth mentioning, frankly.

That leaves Charizard and its Horcrux. In the Harry Potter series, although they weren't, He Who Must Not Be Named's Horcruxes were destroyable by Fiendfyre, but it was deemed to hard/dangerous to control to be used to destroy the Dark Lord's Horcruxes. One of the characteristics of Fiendfyre is:

It is an immensely powerful fire that cannot be extinguished by normal or enchanted water

I propose that in the Pokémon world, Fire type moves as well as the flame on Charizard's tail both contain these characteristics and are therefore the (weaker) equivalent of Fiendfyre flames. My opponent might tell you that my paper planes would be a useless support as Charizard could just burn them, but I don't see it that way. Yoda can use the Force to fly the paper planes at incredible speeds while using the force field to get some of the paper planes in close to Charizard unscathed, bring the paper planes round the back and release the force field while the paper planes fly through Charizard's Fiendfyre-like tail flame and get set alight. Yoda would then direct the paper planes at the Horcrux and easily destroy it, using the force fields to protect against the wind and also to reinforce the planes from burning up too quickly. Once the Horcrux is dealt with, Yoda can move onto a weakened Charizard.

One paper cut sucks, right? Now imagine getting sliced up by hundreds of thousands, if not millions of them. Yoda can use his great precision with the Force to slice up his poor, helpless opponent, again using force fields to protect the paper planes on their approach. If Charizard tries to fly away, Yoda can pin it down with the Force. If it tries to attack, Yoda can dodge and deflect with the Force. I haven't even mentioned Yoda's Lightsaber yet, which, if Charizard is stupid enough to attack directly, will tear Charizard limb from limb.

Poor Charizard.

Yea, sorry about the delay, I have been really busy with an assignment. That and sleeping, my two favourite things to do >.>

Anyway, submission time.

Ok, let’s start this with the obvious, Kuriboh. That is just a joke, he seriously aint doing nothing, get out of this fight, only real men, or women for those 1 out of every 8 female Charizards out there, allowed.

Same can be said for paper planes, what are they gonna do, cut Charizard? Bah, they would ignite just from being near him, seriously, if forests do, so does paper. Nah, these two things don’t even deserve to be in the same vicinity as the two bad asses on display here.

Now, where to begin is the obvious. Charizard is just cooler. Little ancient green gremlin that can’t even tell the evil he sees all the time standing right in front of him Yoda, or the awesome, one of the top Pokemon of all time, not even a real dragon (garbage type), flying fire lizard, Charizard.

Apparently now (cause power creep isn’t bad enough already), Charizard can and I quote “[breathe] fire of such great heat that it melts anything”. Last time I checked, that includes force fields, green midgets, and the metal around a lightsaber (oh and certainly paper planes). We do know that Yoda can absorb energy, but not enough to deal with this, he struggled to absorb and redirect a small amount of lightning from an individual who couldn’t stop someone by using it to save his own life. Whats he gonna do against something that can melt boulders Charizard would just melt Yoda way too easily, there aint no stopping these flames.

“But Vracken, what about force fields” I hear you say. “Couldn’t they stop the flames”, sure. Some can. Force fields are a pretty undefined thing, they can range from the invincible, to the real, and that makes actual discussion pretty weak. I say they are pathetic, so they are pathetic. Then they might as well not exist. You say they are invincible, then they are invincible. Good job, no discussion, kinda makes for a dull game right? So how can we remedy this? I can’t, I am not partial, so let’s look at force fields from Star Wars, and Force Fields from Pokemon, fair right? They are the universes our characters are from, so it makes sense to use one of them. Unfortunately for Yoda, neither really work out for him. For the most part, in Star Wars force fields collapse under intense energy absorbance. Read that, as fire that melts anything (give it to me and I am going to abuse it). In Pokemon, they do little more than block extra damage a la Light Screen and Reflect. Yea, sorry Yoda, but I don’t think force fields that aren’t Deus ex Machina’d into being over powered and not really a discussion piece are gonna save you here.

This is all without talking about Charizards trump card. Even if, somehow Yoda manages to take Charizard down, let’s be honest, it could happen, The Force is a pretty strong plot device, Charizard can’t die as long as Yoda hasn’t destroyed the Horcrux. Now there isn’t a lot about the specifics of Horcrux’s, but they are pretty hard to break. Intense magic is required to destroy them, luckily for Yoda, I would agree the force would be capable. Unluckily for Yoda, how are you going to find a single grain of sand somewhere in the world. Yea, good luck, dealing with a recurring Charizard until you can visit every beach, and check every ocean, sea and lake for a single Horcrux, cause if you can’t even sense the evil guy directly in front of you for years, you sure as hell can’t detect one small not even force related object on the other side of the planet. It takes needle in a needle stack to a whole new level doesn’t it? I mean, even if it does have to be a reasonably sized object, just pick it up and fly it somewhere else every time Yoda gets close-ish (as in say 1000 km) to it. In the end, no problem.

In review, Yoda doesn’t really stand a chance. All the fancy jumping around with a green glow-stick doesn’t help against the cleansing bath of hell-fire rained from above. Good luck little man, better chance as a ghost.

P.s. All this I didn't even need to waste my mega slot on Charizard.

I really wanted to do some calculations on how much a standard force field in star wars could deal with, but the removal of pretty much all that kind of information from being cannon made it pretty much impossible. Also probably made it more realistic since those numbers were mostly randomly made up, and don't really make sense, but I digress.

Apologies for the shoddiness, I haven't had as much time to do the research I otherwise would for this battle.

Sorry I'm late! I've been really busy D:
Anyways, let me explain why Mewtwo would win this fight >:L

Without any supports the winner obviously is Mewtwo, right? Having psychic abilities and all. What does Villager have? Seeds...? Ha! Like seeds are going to do anything to Mewtwo.

Anyways, this battle includes supports. Both characters have a Magikarp and a paper clip.
Ooh, a Magikarp mirror battle would be fun.. ^-^
Especially when Mewtwo disables Villager's Magikarp's splash so it'll struggle to death. While Mewtwo's Magikarp is still splashing around, alive!

What about paper clips, what would a paper clip do against a master of psychic? Nothing, really. If that paper clip would do any damage, Mewtwo could just teleport both paper clips somewhere else.

Alright, what does Villager have left?
Villager can't do anything against a Pokémon that OHKO's legendary birds, right?

This battle is like fighting a Sunkern for Mewtwo!

Sorry, Villager. You're only awesome in Jesi's stories! :p

Again, I'm very sorry for not getting it done in time! Thanks for giving me a second chance! :p

(Who says that Mewtwo OHKO'd that legendary bird, huh!? >:L)

I really appreciate all those who put the effort in and liked this post, but it's actually this post that I'm looking for the likes on. D:

Alrighty!

Everyone has submitted their posts! So get Liking!!

24hours from this post will mark the end of Round 2 which will then take us into the final Round!

Now go and gather all the support you can get :)

I haven't forgotten about the end of Round 2,

I've already taken the final vote counts and I'm typing up the commencement of Round 3 :)

Sorry for the delay :) I'm on holidays with my wife ;)
I'll post as soon as I can and it's ready.

Ok so that concludes Round 2!!

Here are the results!

Ice Espeon VS Vracken
Congratulations to Ice Espeon who wins with a score of 5!

Bbninjas VS TheFlyingPidove
We had a tie of 6!! I was going to use a coin toss to decide the winner but have since decided that both players will compete in the final round!

QuakingPunch VS NinjaPenguin
Congratulations to QuakingPunch with a massive score of 10!

Onto the final round!

Round 3
For this final round... our remaining 4 competitors will be competing against each other directly.

Just like the previous two Rounds everyone will submit a Character and 2 Supports.

For your submission you will have to write how your Character + Supports together with someone else's submitted Character and Supports would defeat the other two.

So essentially you will be choosing your Character's Partner who you will add into your own submission.

For example:
Player A chose Hulk
Player B chose Caterpie
Player C chose Lucina
Player D chose Harry Potter

Player A chose to partner with Player C so they would write about Hulk and Lucina VS Caterpie and Harry Potter

In your submission you choose someone else's Character and Supports to combine with your own Character to beat the other two Characters.

So:

@bbninjas VS @TheFlyingPidove VS @Ice Espeon VS @quakingpunch73

You have 24 hours to submit your chosen Characters and Supports

I'll be sending updated hands out ASAP.
Good luck!

Wait, so, we pick who we want to partner with after we know everyone's supports? Wouldn't that mean that we could have A, B and C all partnering with D if they so wished?

Wait, so, we pick who we want to partner with after we know everyone's supports? Wouldn't that mean that we could have A, B and C all partnering with D if they so wished?

Essentially yes,

So for your submission only you choose someone else's Character and Supports to team up with your Character.

It's not you, the players, teaming up. You don't go up to TFP and ask her to be your partner. In your submission you choose which player's character and supports you'd like to use :)

Thanks for sending your Characters in! Once I'm home from the doctors update will be up straight away for submissions :)

Ok it's submission time!

@bbninjas has chosen Batman supported by a Red Gyarados and a hockey stick.

@Ice Espeon has chosen Luke Skywalker with the Force and a yo-yo.

@TheFlyingPidove has chosen Winnie the Pooh supported by the Squirtle Squad and the One Ring.

@quakingpunch73 has chosen Luigi with the Dark Magician and the Triforce.

Now, for your submissions you will choose one of the other players Character and Supports. They will join your Character and Supports on a team to fight the remaining two Characters.

I'll give you 72 hours to complete this submission.

Good luck all, if you have any questions feel free to post them in thread :)

Quaking's Luigi with the Triforce and a Dark Magician with bb's Batman with Gyrados and a baseball bat vs. IE's Luke Skywalker with the Force and a Yoyo and TFP's Winnie the Pooh with Squirtle Squad and One Ring

It's late at night... Tired from your endless castle raids and nonstop parties and sports, you groggily wander down your cottage's squeaky stairs to your basement, hoping to take another glance at your little brother's diary by the candle light after all these years. Sure enough, it sits on the table where you last looked at it 15 years ago embraced by candle light. Looking inside, however, reveals a shocking tale, one which you can't distinguish if it's fact or fiction...
180px-PM_Luigi%27s_Diary_desk.png

Dear Diary,

Today, I was approached by a strange man for help. He arrived under the cover of darkness, dressed in all black, was muscular, and had gadgets galore to boot! I mean, what could this guy possibly want with me: a cowardly, scrawny, guy who's not the sharpest night in the kitchen cabinet? He threatened me to come with him, saying that only I could save his world, a world called "The Silver Screen" from destruction. To prove his threats weren't empty, he opened a ball, revealing a giant Cheep-Cheep! If that didn't freak me out enough, he pulled out a baseball bat, and forced me to grab two things that are valuable to my heart. Of course I grabbed a special ornament Link gave me after we fought Bowser and Ganon that one time and a special Dark Magikoopa card from Yu-Gi-Toad! I loved watching that show when I was a kid! I remember fondly pulling that card and believing that one day, it would come to life and protect me from danger. It might be some time before I see you again Diary, but I promise I'll win this fight for you and for Daisy!

Your Pal, Luigi
Of course you scoff at your brother. What's he gonna do? Win by doing nothing? Fat Chance! Despite your doubt, you continue to press through his tale.
Dear Diary,

I just came back from the craziest fight of my life! The visitor from the other day took me through a pipe to his world, the one he describes as the "movie theater". When we got there, the evil man and his ferocious pet bear were there! It scared me so much. The bear even had a person riding it and had a ring around his neck. Suddenly the bear disappeared, leaving only a faint shadow behind. I knew had to believe: believe in the heart of the cards. Finally, the Dark Magikoopa sprung to life, it's picture coming out of the card! It threw a blast of raw energy out of its scepter, demolishing the ring around the bear. The bear passed out, rolling over and crushing the person riding it! There was still the man to deal with, however. My partner sped towards the man with rapid speed I knew he had, releasing the Cheep-Cheep in the process. Soon after, my friend returned to his card... Despite the typhoon of water shooting from the Cheep-Cheep's mouth, it was only able to do a minimal amount of damage to the man before he was able to lift up the giant fish into the air and suffocate it to death! My partner soon suffered the same fate, with him collapsing next to his beloved partner. It was kill or be killed, just me and the killer were left. I actually didn't do anything but wish. I wished and wished and wished to win the fight by doing nothing. Soon after, the special triangle-shaped ornament started glowing a golden shade, and I could hear voices in my head! They told me that because I had an equal amount of courage, power, and wisdom: absolutely none at all, that they would grant my wish! My opposition seemed to drop to the ground in a heartbeat! It seems like miracles do occur, as I came out of the fight unscathed and returned to you, my diary.

Your Pal, Luigi
After getting a little enjoyment out of reading your brother's tale, you went back to bed, eager to ask him if it was true in the morning...

bb's Batman with Red Gyrados and a Hocket Stick and TFP's Winnie the Pooh with Squirtle Squad and One Ring vs. IE's Luke Skywalker with the Force and a Yoyo with Quaking's Luigi with the Triforce and a Dark Magician

The outcome is obvious, and is well set in stone. I've even got the visual evidence (in the spoiler)! Undoubtedly, the power of Batman and Winnie the Pooh is unstoppable.

I'm really liking Quakingpunch's submission. The Triforce grands any wish and that's kinda overpowered anyway. Also the scenario reminds me of this:

lUDSBL.gif

But that picture is hilarious BB!

TFP's Winnie the Pooh with the Squirtle Squad and One Ring and bb's Batman with Red Gyrados and a Hockey Stick vs. IE's Luke Skywalker with the Force and a Yoyo with Quaking's Luigi with the Triforce and a Dark Magician

Let's not wait any longer on Winnie the Pooh's amazing fight!

Let's start off with Winnie the Pooh's giant honey collection. Using the heavy pots as a shelter and as a wall around the battle field.
Why a wall around the battle field? Well, that keeps all of the Squirtle's in the field while they're spinning around at full speed. They're just like red shells :)
But they won't every stop! Combining that with Batman's Hockey Stick, wow, that can be quite dangerous.

Oh, Luigi and Luke Skywalker are trying to escape the red shells? That is hard when they're stuck to the ground by Winnie the Pooh's honey!

Luigi's Triforce can grant a wish, right? Too bad the One Ring can be used to control Luigi and wish more honey! Winnie the Pooh loves honey!
tumblr_m5x838FaNk1rs97fco1_500.gif
See?

That's not all, Batman's Red Gyarados can be used to eat Luke and Luigi too! This game was easier than expected actually. Another win for Winnie the Pooh
giphy.gif

And if this wasn't enough, you should say Winnie the Pooh's final move!
giphy.gif
Normally this attack would kill the opponent instantly, but this Butterfly is too high leveled.

I'm really liking Quakingpunch's submission. The Triforce grands any wish and that's kinda overpowered anyway.

Since when did we choose the winners based on how powerful they are? I've got a Squirtle Squad on my side anyways.
