Project Description and Summary
The Global Learning for Health Equity (GL4HE) Network seeks to work with health equity and global health promoters to leverage global ideas to advance health equity and population health in US communities. The purpose of the Network is to encourage US health equity promoters to look globally at ideas from around the world that may address some of the greatest health equity challenges in local communities in America. To help us decide whether your project is a fit for this funding opportunity, we’d like you to describe your proposed work in a way that we can quickly understand your goal, how it is pioneering, and how you plan to achieve it.
*NOTE: Applicants are REQUIRED to carefully review the Global Learning for Health Equity Model since proposals must demonstrate their relevance and contribution to this framework.

Applicants are required to carefully review the Global Learning Health Equity Model since proposals must demonstrate their relevance and contribution to this framework.
Domains are fluid and intersectional, so, organizations may be at multiple domains with multiple projects, and this will be taken into consideration when considering proposals.
-
Please use the Project Summary to briefly describe your project in your own words. Use this section to ensure that we understand how your project fits into one or more of the global learning dimensions found in the Global Learning to Advance Health Equity Model.

Project Narrative (2000 words max.)
REMINDER: The project must focus on advancing health equity in a local community in the United States. Projects that emphasize gender equity, climate change, and community power are encouraged. Funding is not limited to these focus areas and a variety of health equity projects are acceptable. Projects created with a community and having at least one team member as a community organizational leader in a shared leadership role as co-project director are preferred.
Use the Project Narrative to share more details about your proposed project. The narrative should include the following:
1. Purpose of project.
2. (If applicable) What is the global idea of interest and how did applicants learn about it?
3. What is the applicants’ familiarity with the global idea and implementers in the originator country(ies)?
4. What health equity need in the U.S. community will the global idea address?
5. Description of key personnel on the team and their relevant qualifications and experience.
6. Description of the applicant’s organization and roles each key personnel will play in planning the grant
7. Description of community stakeholder engagement methods to be used in the planning grant process. All proposals must include community engagement and bidirectional learning principles. These principles include but are not limited to:
*respecting and committing to reciprocity in the knowledge
gained from our global partners,
*building and sustaining trust and mutually beneficial
relationships with local and global community partners,
*supporting/promoting community values, power, and
leadership.
8. If proposing an implementation or evaluation project, what health equity and implementation science measures will be built into the global learning project?
