This year's Institute of Physics teachers Conference takes place in DCU. It will be a day of lectures, demonstrations, workshops, resources and networking for all teachers of physics.

The event will be opened by Mr Damien English, TD, Minister of State for Skills, Research and Innovation.

The keynote presentation will be delivered by Dr. Hugh Hunt (Cambridge) 'Boomerangs, Bouncing Balls and Other Spinning Things'.
Dr Hunt replaces Prof Frank Close who is unable to participate.

A discussion will take place on the 2014 Physics papers and marking schemes, which will form the basis of the Institute of Physics report to the SEC.

Exhibitors area with many interesting displays, lots of freebies and the chance to win valuable prizes.

Booking fee: €30 (includes tea/coffee and lunch); reduced fee for student teachers: €20

Delegates can pick up a a free parking pass at the conference registration desk. This is for use in the DCU multi-storey car park. Please park first and use the pass for exiting the car park.
