The Community Collaboration on Climate Change (C4) in collaboration with: The City of Grand Rapids Office of Emergency Management (OEM), West Grand Neighborhood Organization (WGNO), Linc Up, and The Neighbors of Belknap Lookout (NOBL) are hosting a "Resilient Roots: Climate Readiness and Preparedness workshop."
Disasters and hazardous incidents happen, and climate change is intensifying those. Help inform your household about what to do when it matters most. This workshop provides entry level information that will increase your preparedness for when disasters/hazards strike, and helps you consider building a basic emergency supply kit to manage your household's needs during or after events.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to win 1 of 5 emergency kits. It's a “go bag” style backpack stocked with many items recommended by subject matter experts and may help you and your household in an emergency. It is only a starter kit, yet it has an approximate $200 value! (***Only one winner per household.***)
Registration is required, 30 spots available. Please, only register for the workshop in your area.
