- Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2015I didn't understand what an Earth Reader was all about. This book is very clear about Sara's gift and how she, as a consultant has discovered bodies for her friend the Sheriff over the last ten years. Then the FBI is called in on a case and Nick and his partner arrive on the scene. Nick is a different kind of person. I want to tell you. But will let it be a surprise.
An attempt on Sara's life leaves Nick keeping her safe. While they and several others work out the "who and why" the killer is doing these awful crimes.. And solve the mystery thriller.
In the next Elemental Voice book 2 Will Sara's gift be expanded? Can't wait to find out.
I will be looking for more from this new author, Tina Riffey.

Sara Phillips lives in a reality that knows about and acknowledges vampires. But shamanistic gifts are outside the general ken.
Sara is an Earth Voice, which makes her more than a psychic, because she gets deep revelations about past events - from the ground. It means she can find bodies that are buried.
Nick Issaro is SA of an investigative unit of the FBI that tracks serial killings. And something about the bodies found in here resonates with bodies found elsewhere. He is intrigued by Sara and her gift.
Working out the clues left by the killer and his accomplices leads them to unexpected links and complications. This premise works.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2023I really liked the premise of this story. The first half kept me intrigued but the sudden mating and the lack of surprises in the crime arc grated and the story couldn’t hold my interest.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2022I wasn't sure what I wanted to read. So I tried this. It's got an interesting premise about shamans and other gifts. The romance was a little rushed, but I was reading it for the mystery. I'm going to read the next one now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good first book
Good first book in this series. I liked the mystery and plot line. The romance and sex scenes were not the best and could have been left out
