This Donate-A-Hug campaign was created during covid in 2020. We were in such need of emotional support. Depression and stress was on the rise quickly. Suicide rates climbed highly out of control for our children from the ages of 11 to 21 because of self-isolation. And for many others of all ages and genders, they were dealing with loss of income and/or health challenges, stress and depression because the world went into complete lockdown and our medical needs couldn’t be met. We were/are grieving losses with no I love you’s one last time.
This Donate-A-Hug was one way that people who had more can give to those that had much less coming in. It was such a blessing for both the donors and the receivers. When the Donate-A-Hug-Cuddle Me Love Body Pillow was received, it started to serve it’s purpose to give comfort, smiles, {{hugs}, support, and calmness.
Now 2021, here in the USA, the lock-down has been lifted, however still having horrific challenges in many parts of the world. Nothing is back to the way it was and on a day to day bases, we are still trying to understand what is going on. Everyday it's something new. People are still in need of a {{hug}}. The importance of a {{hug}} is one of the most important ways to touch one another. Simulated or physical. A {{hug}} helps to lower blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease, heart attack, or stroke. Hugs boosts Self Esteem and reduces anxiety.
