Spring has finally arrived and summer is almost upon us. I hope you are enjoying this glorious weather. I have some exciting news and updates, which I would love to share with you.

Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2023

I am so excited to announce that one of my paintings, Night Garden (see below), has been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2023. The exhibition opens for the public from 13 June to 20 August in the Main Gallery at Burlington House, Piccadilly.

The Summer Exhibition is an annual celebration of art that has been running since 1769. It brings together works by leading artists, Royal Academicians and household names as well as new and emerging talent. I feel absolutely blessed, grateful and proud to be a part of this event which has such an immense place in British art history and contemporary art scene.

Ayot Art Show 2023

I will have several new paintings (both framed and unframed) as well as greeting cards in the Ayot Art Show taking place from 17 to 19 June in the beautiful Grade I listed Palladian Church of the village of Ayot St Lawrence. This popular show is in it’s 48th year running, raising money for conservation projects to maintain and protect St Lawrence Church.

Townhouse Open 2023

I am very pleased to have my painting, Corner of Parkside (II) selected for the Town House Open 2023. This is a wonderful exhibition running from 24 June to 30 July at the Town House Spitafields, featuring works by new and known artists.

The Town House is a gallery, shop and coffee shop in the heart of Spitalfields, located in an early eighteenth century building opposite Hawksmoor’s Christ Church. It’s a lovely place to visit on a day out to London.

Highgate Contemporary Art Exhibition

I have several miniature paintings in Highgate Contemporary Art Gallery May Postcard online exhibition of small artworks, all costing £100 or less. It is running until 31st of May, so there is still a chance to find your little “gem of art”.

Mildon Art Society Annual Exhibition

Finally as usual, I was showing some of my work in the Milldon Art Society annual exhibition which took place from 29 April to 2 May this year in Mill Hill. I was very pleased to have one of my paintings Highly Commended by an invited judge and also to have my bigger painting Mill Hill Park Sunset (XVIII) win the people’s vote. I thank all of you who attended the exhibition and supported me.

St Martin’s School Spirited Arts competition

In September last year I was invited by the headteacher of St Martin’s prep school in Mill Hill to talk to the students about my art practice. It was a delightful experience and a pleasure to see children’s interest in art. So it was nice to have been recently invited to come back to the school again in June, now as a professional judge to help to choose artworks created by children for the National Spirited Arts Competition. This school has been trying to raise the profile of Art as a subject and I am glad to be able to make a small contribution to their effort.
