Survey CCC Residents 2023

The CCC Board of Directors approved a new long-term planning project in April 2023 with formation of a Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC). The Long Range Planning project is designed to consider CCC’s needs and wants for the next two, five, 10 and 25 years.

The committee would like to hear from CCC residents to help guide it's recommendations. We need to confirm that only CCC residents, renters or guests complete the survey so it is necessary for you to provide your name and address.

If you are uncomfortable answering any other questions just leave them blank but know then that your input will be missing from that question or topic.

The surveys will be distributed both electronically and optionally by paper to the CCC community. If you have submitted a survey please do not do a second survey. You may be asked to participate in more than one type of survey (for example, there is also a Club Leadership Survey.) If you do complete two of the same survey only the most recent one will be considered.

You can share the survey with other people by sharing the provided link by email.

If you need a paper survey you can pick one up at the CCC Administration Building after June 1, 2023, print it yourself, or have someone else print it for you. The printable copy is formatted somewhat differently than the online version.

The final report will be published and made available to the entire CCC community once all the data collection is complete.

The land between the tennis courts and Route 44 may be adequate and able to be rezoned to accommodate a commercial enterprise.  Conceivably, CCC could lease or sell the land for financial gain. It is possible that we could also benefit from having a golf cart-accessible business there. What do you think of the following:

The recent golf course greens renovation was a long overdue item covered by accumulated Reserves.  It was not a part of any major capital improvement.  CCC's monthly Operations & Maintenance (O&M) charges have not had major capital improvement projects or amenity improvements  in a long time.  Considering these facts, what do you think our financial priority should be going forward regarding the monthly O&M charges?

CCC has 2 substantial parcels of undeveloped land - Phase IV south of the dog park and the 60-acre effluent spray field. If attractive projects are proposed for those areas, would you support CCC acquiring mortgages to provide those improvements sooner-rather-than-later and to pay that indebtedness off over the next 10-15 years?
Clear selection
Some or all of the land mentioned above could be used for more homes, providing additional O&M and potentially some income from land sales.  How might CCC best use this land?
Another area of potential development is the land between the canals at the gazebo. Now that The Villages has a presence on Lake Okahumpka, the State might improve navigability and make our waterfront property there more attractive. If the small pond could be reclaimed, that land could be used for a park, perhaps with a pavilion, even with bathrooms and a catering kitchen, and maybe even an expanded marina. Is this idea worth pursuing?
