BMES Case Competition Committee
Thanks for your interest to apply for the UT BMES Case Competition Committee!

Every fall, teams from all majors spend a couple weeks preparing a hypothetical solution in response to a written challenge prompt issued by the UT BMES Case Competition Committee. On competition day, teams present to a panel of judges, network, and compete for prize money. We're looking for committee members to organize the competition, as well as a chair to lead meetings. The committee will have the opportunity to deal with a wide variety of components to host a successful event (i.e. logistics, marketing, corporate support/outreach, judges, writing the actual case challenge prompt, budgeting, etc.)

Don't be intimidated - Khyati will introduce the basics in the very beginning and will check-in throughout the planning process if you have any questions. This is an awesome experience - you'll learn a lot and get to bring a super fun event to life! Please note, this position has real responsibilities and time commitments. Historically, the entire committee met about once a week up until the event (tentatively Nov. 20). Meeting times are set after the committee is finalized according to everyone's availability.

The deadline for this application has been extended to Sunday, September 18 at 11:59 PM. Please direct any questions to vp.external.texasbmes@gmail.com. Remember that if you are accepted to the committee, you will be asked to keep inside information confidential and will not be able to compete for the current semester.
