Openinga StudyToopena study1.Searchforastudy.2.ClickViewStudyor Double click on the study in study list.3.ThestudyopensintheStudyViewer.StudyViewerComponentsTheStudyViewerwindowconsistsofthefollowingcomponents:PatientHistorytabViewportIfthenumberofthumbnailsexceedsthewidthofthescreen,thecontrolshighlightedbelowenableyoutonavigatethroughtheavailablethumbnails.NavigationalcontrolHoveroverthethumbnailtoviewNavigationalcontroladditionalimageinformationToopenathumbnailimageinaviewport1.Youcanopenathumbnailinaviewportinthefollowingways:•Selecttheviewportinwhichyouwanttoopenthethumbnailandthendouble-clickthethumbnail.•Clickanddragthethumbnailtothedesiredviewport.ThumbnailsReviewtoolbarViewer

ReviewToolbarTheReviewtoolbarcontainstoolsthatyoucanusetoinvestigateandmanipulateimagesintheimageviewer.All-In-One ToolThe All-In-One tool has 3 components:Left mouse click = Window/Level AdjustmentCenter mouse button/wheel = Zoom In/OutRight mouse click = Pan of the imageWindowOptionsEnablesyoutomanuallyadjustthewindowwidthand windowlevelAppliesoptimumwindowwidthandlevelvaluesbasedonahistogramanalysisoftheactiveimage.Invertstheimagegrayscaletoprovideanegativeimagedisplay.Clickthebuttonagaintoreturntotheoriginalsetting.ZoomZoomstheselectedimage.Intheviewport,clickandholdtheleftmousebutton,andmovethepointeruptozoominanddowntozoomout.PanPan.Repositionstheimagewithintheviewport.Measurementsand LinesLinemeasurement.Theapplicationdisplaysthedistancebetweenthestartingpointandendingpointinmillimeters.Clicktheleftmousebuttontoidentifythestartoftheline,andclickagaintoidentifytheendoftheline.Calibration.Clicktwopointsontheimagetocreatealine.Theapplicationdisplaysthedistance,andaninputfieldtoenterthenewlycalibrateddistance,inmillimeters.TransischialLine.Usedtomeasureleglengthdiscrepanciesforpre-operativeplanningoforthopedicsurgeries.Clicktwopointsontheimagetocreateareferenceline.Clicktwomorepointsoneithersideofthereferencelinetomeasurethedistancebetweenthosepointsandthereferenceline.Theapplicationdisplaysthedistancebetweenthetwopointsandthereferencelineandcalculatesthediscrepancybetweenthetwodistances.Jointline.Measureanglesformetatarsalosteotomieswiththeassistance ofalineperpendiculartothebaseoftheangle.Clicktwopointsontheimagetocreateareferenceline.Clickathirdpointontheimagetocompleteanangle.Theapplicationdisplaystheanglemeasurementattheintersection.AdjustmentscanbemadetoJointlinesoncetheyarecreated.Plumblines;HorizontalandVertical.Selectthedesiredplumblineorientation—verticalorhorizontal—andclickanywhereonanimagetodrawaplumblineacrosstheentireimageintersectingatthelocationofthemousepointer.

Angle MeasurementsCobbangle.Clicktwopointsontheimagetocreatealine.Clicktwomorepointstocreatethesecondline.TheapplicationextrapolatesthepointwherethetwolinesintersectanddisplaystheCobbAngle.Angle.Clickthreepointsontheimage.Theapplicationdisplaystheangle’smeasurement.TextandAnnotationsAddtext.Clicktheimagewhereyouwantthetexttoappear.Theapplicationplacesatextinsertionpointontheimage.Typethetextyouwanttoplaceontheimage.ClickoutsideofthetextboxorpressEntertocompletethefunction.Edittext.Clickthetextandeditasdesired.ClickoutsideofthetextboxorpressEntertocompletethefunction.FreeDraw.Clickandholdtheleftmousebuttontobegindrawingnonlinearannotationsonanimagebymovingthepointer.Releasetheleftmousebuttontoendtheannotation.Drawing ToolsAnnotationellipse.Clickanddragthemousepointertodrawanellipseoverthedesiredregion.Whenyoureleasethemousebutton,theapplicationdisplaystheROImeasurements.Annotationrectangle.Clickanddragthemousepointertodrawarectangleoverthedesiredregion.Whenyoureleasethemousebutton,theapplicationdisplaystheROImeasurements.AnnotationROI.Clickanddragthemousepointertodrawafreehandregionofinterest(ROI).Whenyoureleasethemousebutton,theapplicationcompletestheROIwithastraightlinebetweenthestartandendpoints.TheapplicationdisplaystheROImeasurements.PixelValue.Theidentifiesthepixelcoordinatesandthepixelvalueofapixelwhenyouclickonanimage.ThepixelvalueisexpressedasanRGBvalueforcolorimagesoragreyscalevalue(representingbrightness)formonochromeimages.ForCTimages,thepixelmeasurementsareidentifiedbytheabbreviation“HU”ifthepixelvaluesarestoredinHounsfieldunits.Anabbreviationof“US”indicatesanunspecifiedunitofmeasure.Edit AnnotationsEditannotation.Whenselected,enablesyoutomodifyaselectedannotationintheimageviewer.Deleteannotation.Whenselected,deletesaselectedannotationintheimageviewer.Deleteallannotations.Whenselected,deletesallannotationsintheimageviewer.Togglesthetext.Clickoncetohidethetextandagaintorestorethetext.Resetstheimagedisplayparameters(suchaswindowsettings,zoom,pan,orientationandgrayscaleinversion)tothelastsavedsettingsor,ifyouhavenotsavedthesettingsduringthecurrentsession,tothesettingsappliedwhenthestudywasfirstloaded.Whenyouresettheimagedisplayparameters,dependingonthescopesetfortheviewer,theapplicationresetsthecurrentimageoralltheimagesintheseries.Fullscreenmodeutilizesmorescreenrealestatebyhidingthemenubarandtoolbarfromtheviewer.Closestheviewerandreturnstothestudylist.
  6. LocalizerLines.Theselinesenableyoucompareimagesofdifferentplanes.Theapplicationtakesonereferenceimage,comparesitwiththeimagesintheotherviewers,thendisplaysaline(ifapplicable)thatshowswherethereferenceimageintersectswiththeotherimages.MeasurementsmadeintheStudyViewercannowbemodifiedasfollows:•Left-clickanddragahandleofameasurementtomovethehandle’slocation.Calculatedvalues,suchasdistancemeasurements,areupdateddynamically.•Left-clickanddragameasurementortextboxtomoveit.•Right-clickameasurementtodeleteit.AnnotationOptionsAnnotationoptionsenableyoutomanagethefollowingannotationsontheimages:•Measurementannotations(suchasline,rectangle,ellipse,ROI,angleandcobbangle).Allmeasurementsaredisplayedinmetricunits.•Textannotations(suchaslabelsandnotes).Thefollowingtabledescribesalloftheavailableannotationtools:UserPreferencesCineandStackCine.YoucananimateanyactiveseriesusingtheCinefeature.Cinecontrolsprovidestandardnavigationcommandsthatallowyoutostop,pauseandmoveforwardorbackwardthroughthecine.Youcanalsoadjustthespeedofthecineandusethezoom,pan,andwindowsettingswhileincinemode.Stack. Producesastackofallimagesinthestudywithinasingleviewport.Usethescrollbarstoscrollthroughtheimagesthatconstitutethestack.Anindicatordisplaysintheviewporttoidentifythattheimagesarestacked.ScrollTool.Enablesyoutoscrollthroughtheimagesinaserieswithinaviewportbymovingthemousepointerupordownwhiletheleftmousebuttonispressed.OpenstheUserPreferencesdialog,wherepreferencesforthevieweraresetbytheuser.WhenthesepreferencesaresetbyanAdministratorforarole,allmembersoftheroleinheritthesamepreferencesunlessoverriddenatthepersonallevel.

LinkOptionsLinkall.Linkalloffset.Linkcancel.Linkselected.Linkselectedoffset.ImageOrientationFlipstheimageonthehorizontalaxis.Flipstheimageontheverticalaxis.Rotatestheimageclockwiseorcounter-clockwisein90degreeincrements.PrintandGeneratingReportsPrintstheselectedpatientimagetoaprinterconnectedtoyourlocalworkstation.Ifyouareconnectedtoanetwork,youcanprinttoanetworkprinter.Theapplication’sprintfunctionisdependentontheWebbrowserthatyouareusing.HardcopyprintoutscanvarybetweendifferentWebbrowser.SaveSavestheseriestothedatasourcefromwhichitwasoriginallyopened.Savestheselectedannotatedimagetothedatasourcefromwhichitwasoriginallyopened.

ActiActiveViewerSeriesViewerOptionsImageLayoutOptionsThefollowingexampleshowsfourviewers,eachwithadifferentlayout.Theapplicationappliesanorangeboundingboxtotheactiveviewport.veviewportsnaviewerTheviewerwindowenablesyoutodisplayone,two,four,orsixviewers.EachviewerdisplaysaserieswhichyouloadfromtheSeriesThumbnailspanel.Theimagelayoutspecifiesthenumberofrowsandcolumnsinwhichtheimagesaredisplayedwithinaviewer.Eachimageareawithinaviewerisreferredtoasaviewport.Forexample,ifyouselecta2x2layout,therearefourviewportsintheviewer.

SeriesNavigationOptionsOnlineHelpWorkingwithStudiesThefollowingsectionsdescribehowtoworkwithstudies:UsingFullScreenModeYoucancreatemorespaceonthemonitorforviewingimagesusingCloud 9 PACS®AccessFullScreenmode.Cloud 9 PACS®AccessFullScreenmodeutilizesmorescreenrealestatebyhidingthemenubarandtoolbarfromtheviewer.NOTE:Thisisdifferentfromyourbrowser’sfullscreen()F11mode.TouseFullScreenMode1.Intheviewerwindow,clicktheFullScreenbutton.Theapplicationhidesthemenubarandtoolbarandmaximizestheviewer(s).2.ToexitfromFullScreenmode,clickShowMenusandclicktheFullScreenbuttonagain.Enablesyoutonavigatetothenextorpreviousseries.OpenstheMergeiConnectAccessonlinehelpsysteminanotherbrowserwindow.
