    April 11, 2014

I am told privately that this is ending, the feds dont want the rebellion / civil war to start there.

The Feds are harrassing a rancher, abusing him and stealing his cows, over a desert tortoise .

Militias mobilizing to support Nevada rancher fighting Feds.
      April 11, 2014
If we cant come for your guns, we will come for your cows!
From near and wide, armed men are trickling toward Cliven Bundys ranch,
where the ranchers fight with the federal government has become a rallying cry
for militia groups across the United States.
That dispute teetered at the edge of deadly when Cliven Bundys family members and supporters scuffled with rangers from the Bureau of Land Management sent to protect the federal roundup of Bundys cattle on public land.

One of Bundys sons was shot with a stun gun, and Bundys sister was knocked to the ground; but no one was seriously hurt, and no arrests were made.
3 militia members arrived at the ranch 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
Other militia groups have inundated the Bundy household with calls and pledges to muster at the site.
Their stated goal: to protect the Bundys from tyranny.

Militias will NOT fire - first
They say they are prepared for armed confrontation, but they insist they will not be the instigators if Militias are in the process of mobilizing.
      bloodshed happens.
We need to be the barrier between the oppressed and the tyrants.
The goals are for no one to be harmed, the Bundy family to be protected, and the Bundy property restored.
The issue is about constitutional rights.
We are not anti-government, we are anti-corrupt government.

Government Lies about Standoff with Cliven Bundy
It isnt about the Tortoise, its About Fracking
April 11, 2014  I am MUCH doubting this!
If the situation in Nevada is to escalate into bloodshed or even the next American Revolution, it is important to understand that these 200 armed federal agents are not in Nevada to save the tortoise.
The American people are not stupid. Our government cares nothing about the Desert Tortoise. There is no money in saving the turtles. However, like every foreign war in our history, if there is to be bloodshed there must be a cause of righteousness to justify it. Cliven Bundy doesn't have weapons of mass destruction, and he has not, to our knowledge, taken part in any terrorist activities.
But the land he is using does have something in common with Iraq and Afghanistan.
        It is rich in resources.
The other thing Mr. Bundy has in common with the many unfortunate targets of American military intervention is that he decided to no longer participate in a system that was unjust, in his opinion. Just like those who decided to try to stray away from the Petrodollar in foreign lands, Bundy decided many years ago to stop paying the federal government's fees for something that he felt entitled to. For this, there is a consequence. You do not cross the federal government.
The constitutionality of this is debatable, but Bundy is standing on the Tenth Amendment. He believes that this land belongs to Nevada and that the Federal Government has no right to collect fees for its use. People are sick and tired of the government taking more and more while delivering less and less. They are sick of the "taxation without representation" and they are sick of the intimidation of the current police state.
So is this about tortoises in the eyes of the federal government?

          HISTORY

Nevada officials blast feds over treatment of cattle rancher Cliven Bundy
          April 10, 2014
Two of Nevadas top elected leaders are riding to the rescue of a rancher whose decades-long range war with the federal government has reached a boiling point in recent days.

The federal Bureau of Land Management has surrounded the Clark County ranch of Cliven Bundy with armed officers, helicopters and four-wheel drive vehicles. Last week, they began seizing cattle found grazing on adjacent federal lands in violation of a law meant to protect an endangered desert tortoise.

No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans.
          - Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval
Both Gov. Brian Sandoval and Sen. Dean Heller have condemned the BLS for what they characterize as heavy-handed actions involving Bundy and other Silver State residents.

No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans, Sandoval, a Republican, said. The BLM needs to reconsider its approach to this matter and act accordingly.

Update: [16:00 PST] This video interview follows reports that up to 5,000 militia members are on their way to Nevada to stand with the Bundy family against massive government overreach. Earlier today Bundy family members and friends broke through the Federal blockade to rescue cattle stuck behind enemy lines.

BLM Rangers Brought in From Out of State for Nevada Ranch Emergency
          April 11, 2014
Armed Rangers were brought in from out of state by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to assist in security surrounding the Bundy Ranch
A heated confrontation on Wednesday resulted in Cliven Bundys son Ammon being tasered by BLM officials and a 57-year-old protester being shoved to the ground.
Stetsy Bundy Cox, Clivens daughter, told the Washington Free Beacon that some of the rangers had Oregon and California license plates.
You know, some of these guys dont even know why theyre here, she said. A few people have talked to them and they got called in here on an emergency feed and they didnt know what it was for, it just said they had to be here.

BLM Feds Assault More Protesters As First Amendment Area Taken Down
            April 11, 2014
Spencer Schillig thrown to the ground, handcuffed for demonstrating against seizure of cattle
Bureau of Land Management agents assaulted and arrested two brothers who were protesting on behalf of Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy last night, threatening the men with tasers and detaining them for hours.
The BLM claimed Tyler and Spencer Schillig were trespassing as they walked near a federal holding pen where some of the cattle that the federal agency has seized from Bundy were being held.
Spencer Schillig told Infowars reporter David Knight that his intention was not to interfere with but to protest the federal operation. He obeyed orders to stop but was quickly thrown to the ground and handcuffed, sustaining injuries to his head and neck.
No warning at all, and I was not being aggressive physically in any way, said Schillig, adding that he was detained for 2 hours before being charged with interfering with an agency function and disorderly conduct and violent behavior.
Tyler Schillig was also arrested while a third brother was not arrested.
The incident followed a confrontation between protesters and BLM officials the day before during which Bureau of Land Management agents assaulted a cancer victim, set a dog on a pregnant woman and tasered Ammon Bundy.
The BLM is currently rounding up Cliven Bundys cattle to enforce a regulation in order to protect an endangered desert tortoise after 600,000 acres of public land was reclassified as federal property. Bundy and his supporters assert the move represents big government gone rogue and have vowed to take a stand.

20 Cowboys Break Fed Blockade in Nevada, Retrieve Cattle
              April 10, 2014
We gathered about 30 head, Ammon Bundy told Infowars
Ammon Bundy, the son of besieged Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy, told Infowars reporter David Knight today around 20 cowboys went on land claimed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and retrieved cattle.
We gathered about 30 head, said Bundy. We did have a small confrontation with them, but they didnt have the forces to do a whole lot. They couldnt mobilize fast enough and we were able to gather those cattle and get them to the ranch.
Cliven Bundy and his family are currently engaged in a standoff with the BLM over a long standing refusal to acknowledge a 1993 modification to grazing rights on land that Bundy asserts has been in his family since 1870. On Saturday, hundreds of federal officials, aided by helicopters, low flying aircraft and hired cowboys, began rounding up Bundys cattle in northeastern Clark County.
Bundys dispute with the feds escalated yesterday when several of his supporters were assaulted by BLM officials. The BLM is currently rounding up Bundys cattle in order to enforce a regulation in order to protect an endangered desert tortoise after 600,000 acres of public land was reclassified as federal property.
During that confrontation, Ammon Bundy, was tasered. His sister, a cancer victim, and a pregnant woman were assaulted by BLM agents.
Protesters chanted no BLM as the standoff came to an end. BLM agents began to leave while being yelled at to get out of here!

BLM Feds: Do As We Say, Not As We Do
April 10, 2014  The Bureau of Land Management has justified the theft of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundys cattle
by asserting he is breaking the law by letting his cows graze on reclassified land, and yet the BLM itself has flouted the very same law to a far greater degree by failing to control wild horse populations which are devastating the local environment.
The BLMs justification for its armed siege against the Bundy family protecting an endangered desert tortoise by removing Bundys cattle is patently meaningless given that the federal agency has completely failed to remove some 2,000 wild horses that are competing for sparse forage and water sources in the same area.
The BLM likes to make and enforce rules against others, but hates to comply with the rules and laws that apply to its own actions, writes attorney and rancher Todd Macfarlane, adding, Compared to Cliven Bundy, the BLMs actions are the epitome of governmental hypocrisy.
The BLMs own land management rules state that no more than 300 wild horses can live in the area, leaving some 1700 surplus animals that the feds have failed to round up, but this didnt stop them from launching a $3 million dollar program to instead confiscate Bundys cattle this past weekend.
The BLM has failed to remove excess wild horse numbers not only from BLM lands that the horses are denuding of forage at a critical point in the vegetation cycle, but also from state and private lands on the checker-boarded ranges of Iron, Beaver and Millard counties, notes Macfarlane.
For the BLM its very much a case of do as we say, not as we do.
To add to the hypocrisy, the BLM itself euthanized hundreds of supposedly endangered desert tortoises months before the dispute with Bundy escalated.
The BLMs justification of protecting the endangered desert tortoise as a reason for stealing Bundys cattle holds about as much credibility as their ridiculous First Amendment Area given that the federal agency has broken its own laws while demanding others adhere to them.

UPDATE 1: Cliven Bundy Calls on Sheriff to Start Arresting BLM Feds
Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy has called on Clark County Sheriff Douglas Gillespie to start arresting Bureau of Land Management agents on charges of trespassing and theft as his battle against the federal government intensifies.
UPDATE 2: Feds Assault Cancer Victim, Pregnant Woman in Clash With Bundy Supporters
Bureau of Land Management agents assaulted a cancer victim, set a dog on a pregnant woman and tasered Ammon Bundy during a confrontation yesterday as the dispute between Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy, his supporters and the feds threatened to boil over.

Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval has inserted himself into the escalating standoff between cattle rancher Cliven Bundy and federal officials by blasting the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) over their creation of a First Amendment Area outside of which free speech is banned.

Obama might make another monument in Nevada because it is supposedly a center of climate change scientific research. BARF!
In Colorado, the government is considering designating the Vermillion Basin as a monument because it is currently under the threat of oil and gas development.
Americans should mistrust a president who seizes land from the states without their consent.
Any new plans to take away states freedom to use land as they see fit must be stopped.

Nevada SINator Dirty Harry Reid voted against the amendment. The government owns 80% of the land in Nevada and the unemployment rate there is 13%.  Surely it would help job prospects if more land were open for business.
This is a nationwide problem. The government currently owns20% of the total American land.
