Brady Bash Parent Permission
The Brady Middle School home-school partnership has had a strong tradition that has paid dividends in relation to the number and quality of programs offered to our young people.  It is my hope that you will help us by talking with your child about the school’s expectations regarding student behavior and dress at all school events.  This will help to make events safe and appropriate for all students.  The District Code of Conduct provides expectations for student behavior, dress and grooming as detailed in the student handbook.

Prior to attending the Brady Bash on March 3, students and parents must sign a copy of the rules that govern the event.  These rules have been established to ensure students have fun in a safe, wholesome environment.  They include:

1) You must be a student of Brady Middle School to attend.
2) Unless picked up by a parent/guardian, all students must remain at the event until the end (4:40).
3) Students are to speak courteously to the adults and comply with their requests.  Rude or offensive behavior will be handled appropriately.  Students will be asked to leave or will be prohibited from attending in the future for behavior that compromises the safety of others.
4) Appropriate dress is required as outlined in the student handbook.
5) Dancing must be within reason.  There is to be no moshing, no chain dancing, no lifting each other off the ground, and no sexually suggestive dancing.
6) No food or drink is allowed on the dance floor.
7) Students must respect all property, games and equipment.
8) Please note that students may use cell phones after the event to contact parents.  Students who wish to use a cell phone during the event need to get permission from one of the chaperones.
9) The Orange City Schools Code of Conduct, as listed in the student handbook, will be enforced.

Please review these rules with your child.  It is important for students to understand that their cooperation is essential to ensure that these programs continue to be offered.

Please know that the teachers and parents who help chaperone school events will work to enforce the rules that have been established to address safety concerns as well as uphold the school’s code of conduct.  Students who respond to chaperones in a rude or discourteous manner will be asked to leave.

***Parents/guardians, please complete the section below to verify that you have given permission for your son/daughter to stay after school on Friday, March 3 from 2:40-4:40 p.m. and that you have read the rules and reviewed them with your child.  Please complete the form below for each child you have attending Brady Bash. Students will be asked to sign this agreement when purchasing their tickets to verify that they have read the rules and agree to abide by them.
