What do you look to in order to answer the question, “How ya doin’?”?

Amos describes all the wrong ways … and the right way … to assess how you are doing in life.

Self-reflection:

Read Amos 6. What are my typical measures of how I think I’m doing in life?

With your family:

Go for a walk with your kids. As you see people and things, ask them how God feels about them. Then ask how we can feel the same way.

With your small group:

Read Amos 6.
What stands out to you in these verses? Why?
What bothers you about these verses? Why?
Discuss the self-reflection question above.
How can we train ourselves to change our measure of how we’re doing in life? Be practical.
Given this passage, what should you do this week?
