African Student AssociationTuesday Bi Weekly, 2:45pm-3:30pm in room 1472Roseline Emegheboroseline.emeghebo@aliefisd.netAlief Taylor ASA was formed with the purpose of promoting African culture on the ground of Taylor campus and Alief School District.

Mission of Alief Taylor ASA. We are family of people with a shared interest in Africa in general. We work together to reach one common goal. We are a diverse family. Our members hail from different countries. As an organization we cater to all and not just those in our society, we have several events throughout the year to showcase the continent, its people, its food, clothing, and its diverse cultures and other aspects to all. Our mission is to foster a culturally diverse environment and reinforce unity among its members and all students regardless of their individual, race, ethnicity, and religion etc. We promote a greater understanding of the African continent and its diverse cultures and traditions, and also to welcome the incoming freshmen to our unique African community at Alief Taylor high school. We build rapport between ourselves, we respect each other’s background and come as one to make our Club successful. We participate in different events such as selling food during sugar day, attending other school ASA events, party on the patio, incoming eight grade night event.
