How do we understand advocacy? Is it only done with the State, or is it about influencing market forces and society too? What are the ways by which some citizen rights were secured by people's movements in India? How can corporations be held accountable? How can farmers' issues be taken up for influencing policy-makers? What role can ordinary citizens play?

www.kisanswaraj.in is conducting a policy advocacy skillshare course on tools for securing social, environmental and economic justice in Indian agriculture and for those interested in working on above themes. This will be a 2-day course taking place on 19th and 20th Dec (ending around 5 pm), 2019 in Bengaluru. Interested attendees have to reach the venue in Bengaluru by 8.30 am on 19th Dec the latest. There are limited spaces available for the course, registration will be on a rolling basis until spaces are filled. The medium will be mainly English and Hindi.
Resource people for conducting the course include some of the individuals who have been actively involved in movements related to food, agriculture and environment over last few decades.
Participants are invited to make a contribution of Rs 1500 per person for the duration of course covering food and logistics cost. Participants will have to make their own travel arrangements. Those who cannot pay for the costs or can pay reduced amounts but are keen to attend the course should still write back to
