Academy of Best Practices - Veteran 2019
In response to teacher feedback, CPM is excited to offer The Academy of Best Practice for Veteran CPM Teachers (ABP-V).  With the Common Core State Standards for Mathematical Practice providing the framework for how students engage mathematically, and a comprehensive vision of teaching from NCTM 's Principles to Actions, the pieces are in place for effective, quality math instruction.  ABP-V is an opportunity to bring together a group of veteran CPM teachers who are motivated to improve teacher practice and student understanding through best practice.

If you are a teacher willing to critically examine your pedagogy in the following areas:

- The impact of questioning
- The rigor, accessibility, and progressions of CPM lessons
- Educational technology
- Effective study teams
- Equity

Then please consider applying to the Academy of Best Practices for Veteran CPM Teachers.

We are looking for teachers with more than five years of experience teaching CPM who are seeking supportive opportunities to foster best practice. A major goal of the Academy is to enhance participants’ pedagogical skills as well as provide the motivation and support to foster productive change through educational leadership.

This Academy of Best Practices for Veterans (ABP-V) is sponsored by CPM Educational Program, who will cover the cost of your travel to and from Seattle, WA, and the room and meals at Seattle Pacific University, our home-base for this adventure. Participants will have the option of earning graduate credit. Space is limited, and the application process will be thorough.

Applications and references are due by May 1, 2019 and participants will be notified by May 31, 2019.
