The Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown (@xtownshowdown on Twitter/X) brands themselves as the nation's longest-running high school football showcase. Now in its 26th year, the showdown puts 13 games on this year's schedule featuring 26 teams from Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.

The schedule spans all 10 weeks of the regular season, opening with a stellar game that features two Kentucky state semifinalists from 2022 in Newport Central Catholic and Lloyd Memorial. There are a total of eight intra-conference matchups in Ohio, culminating in an Oct. 20 game between Greater Catholic League-South rivals Elder and La Salle. The Panthers will continue their streak as the only school to play in every showdown (they have a 20-5 record in the showcase).

Two other intriguing games feature teams that have not played since the turn of the century. St. Xavier visits Withrow as the Bombers and Tigers tangle for the first time in 22 years. Badin travels to Hamilton for the first time since the Rams beat the Big Blue in 2000.

From Tom Gamble and In-Game Sports, here is the full schedule for the 2023 Skyline Chili Crosstown Showdown.
