Matt Sorum wants 2 drummers if Guns N' Roses reunites

Ex-Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum thinks that, if the original band reunites, they should perform with both him and original drummer Steven Adler: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "If it's me on drums or Steven or whatever, if it happened, it'd be great, you know. I would actually say to them, 'Hey, bring both of us back,' you know. Let me play the other stuff. We'll have two drum kits. I don't care. If Appetite (For Destruction, the band's debut) sounds better with Steven playing it, have both guys up there. They can afford it."

Matt Sorum Wishes He Was Making The Decisions

Drummer Matt Sorum has provided the beats for some of rocks most notoriously dysfunctional bands, first with Guns N' Roses and most recently Velvet Revolver. The 48-year-old California-native tells us things may be different if he were ever given the chance to run things: [ Click to listen if you have a backstage pass] "Being the drummer in a rock n' roll unit, you know you're not the guy that's making the decisions or you know, which you'd like to be, if you look at a lot of great bands that are out there there's a couple I can name that are run by drummers, Metallica and a band called U2, run by Larry Mullins, run by Lars Ulrich. I would like to think 'if you guys just let me run this band, things would go different' but it's not the way it is."
