Prince Harry ‘will feel particularly guilty’ if he doesn’t introduce his kids to the Queen

Covid travel restrictions are finally being eased in Europe, the UK and US. While people could still travel internationally, many countries had strict quarantine procedures which will now be eased significantly based on vaccination status for the most part. So now that people can travel, what are the chances that Prince Harry, Meghan and the Sussex kids will go to the UK to visit the Queen? We heard several stories over the summer that Harry really wants Lilibet christened in Windsor, like Archie was. We also heard that Harry had offered to come visit the Queen this fall. So… will any of that actually happen? Who knows, but British people are trying to make it sound like Harry is an awful person for not bringing Lilibet and Archie to see the Queen immediately.

Prince Harry and Meghan should visit the Queen with their new baby Lilibet as the US travel ban is no longer an ‘excuse’ a royal insider has claimed. A royal writer said that the Queen ‘is getting older’ and it was ‘imperative for family unity’ that the family came over.

People who are fully vaccinated against Covid have been given the green light to travel to the US within weeks after President Joe Biden said he would lift the coronavirus travel ban. The White House announced that vaccinated passengers from the European Union and the UK will be able to enter the country from November. It marks the end of an 18-month blanket ban imposed by Donald Trump at the height of the Covid pandemic that has kept tourists, business people and separated families out.

In an interview with The Sun writer Adam Helliker said the brood returning to Harry’s home country was “imperative for family unity.”

He said: “I think Harry will feel particularly guilty if [the Queen] doesn’t see the great-grandchildren she’s not seen much of – or the great-granddaughter she’s not seen at all. I think if they’re going to try to patch things up – and we all hope they will work to increase what remains of the unity between them and the family – then I think it’s paramount that they start planning a trip for maybe early December. I doubt obviously they want to be restricted by spending any Christmases at Sandringham, but maybe a mid-December pre-Christmas trip to say hello to the family.”

He added that the family ties ‘were really important’ for Harry.

[From The Daily Mirror]

Yeah, again, sources keep insisting that Harry has repeatedly told people (including the Queen) that he’d like to visit and introduce his children to the family and get Lili christened in the UK. Every time sources have insisted that Harry was taking the initiative to make firm plans, the British media reported in the same breath that Harry was terrible for even suggesting a family visit. Basically, I think Harry is probably cooking up some kind of visit with his grandmother and the courtiers don’t really have any idea what they’re talking about. I’m of two minds about a potential visit. On one side, I think it would be a huge story and I love gossip, so the visit would be fun to cover. On the other side, I kind of wish the Sussexes would just stay in the US and that Meghan especially would never go back to that toxic island full of people who abused her.

There’s a pandemic. Of course they didn’t rush baby Lili over to England. Good lord. They’re not going to risk their kids’ lives to go back to Toxic Salty Island (unless they travel privately, perhaps, which they should do given their resources during the pandemic but of course would be crapped on by the British press for it. Because they can’t win.)

    • Pao says:

What i hate most about these type of articles is that they always but the initiative to “patch things up” on the Sussexes.
      1. Im pretty sure the Queen was one of the first people to see lili diana, albeit through zoom.
      2. Patch things up? How about BP issues a formal apology for those dumb bullying claims and lack of support to the DoS first? After that we can talk about a reconciliation

      • Debbie says:

Exactly what I was going to say. The only other thing I would add is, What’s with that ‘Harry and Meghan MUST’ come to England for the sake of family unit (Ha!), or that the U.S.’s travel ban is no longer “an excuse”?

Sometimes I think that it’s the royal rota who really want to see H & M again. Only, instead of being decent and honest and saying “Please come back, we’ve missed you SO much,” they write up this drivel which completely glosses over their treatment of the Sussexes.

    • 2tall4u2 says:

Why can’t Betty get her ass on a private plane for a visit to sunny Cali? As long as she covers her security costs, she can visit them for a week and actually relax and get a tan.

      • HeyJude says:

Oh god, the last thing Harry and Meghan would enjoy is filling their lovely California respite with all the Queen’s ghastly staff. The exact people that turn around and spill everything to the press about them.

There’d be years of negative coverage supplied by the couturiers.

      • Lex says:

Yeah that plus a 95 year old monarch shouldnt really be getting on long haul flights willy nilly

  2. lanne says:

If they could arrange it so they could be there and back before anyone knew it, that would be great. It would take some real cloak and dagger work from ole Brenda though. I don’t know if she’s up for it. then again, she might find something like that amusing if she’s at the “I give zero shits” stage of her life now.

  3. Oh_Hey says:

    Which one is it BRF/RR?
They should drag themselves and their kids to the salty isle that hates them or they should never again darken the Queens doorstep.

Af this point I just want H&M and their kids to be happy and healthy in the thrive era far away from England.

  4. Chelsea says:

Why cant these hacks make up their minds? Theyve spent weeks crying aboit how Harry potentially wanting his grandmother to be at his daughter’s christening is terrible and reeks of entitlement but now here they are saying Harry would be terrible if he doesn’t bring the kids to see her soon. I’m so tired of these people

  5. Emma says:

Maybe the Queen and Charles and William should feel guilty. Hey! Maybe Andrew should feel guilty. This is an abuser tactic — to project guilt onto a victim.

  6. Lorelei says:

@Kaiser I feel exactly the same way that you do about it. I’m always torn when it comes to something like this. Upon seeing the headline, it’s like, “Harry, no! She’s been so awful to you and your family!” But then I remember that I actually know nothing whatsoever about their relationship, lol. And when I think of my own grandma, I totally understand (although mine never behaved the way the Queen has… 😒).

The Sussexes are, against all odds, able to be incredibly stealth, so they could probably get in & out of the UK without many people knowing, and see only the Queen (and maybe Eugenie, etc.).

  7. Snuffles says:

This is just the RRs foaming at the mouth trying to guilt trip Harry into showing his children to THEM. I’m sure Harry would love to bring the kids for a PRIVATE and UNANNOUNCED visit where no RRs are invited.

    • taris says:

exactly … there’s always a ton of manipulation built into these types of articles. it’s the tabloids that are so desperate to see these babies. framing this as if it’s the sussexes’ responsibility to patch things up is asinine as hell. as are the incessant mind-reads and guilt trippings, particularly when it comes to harry.
the british press are the ones who are psychotically obsessed with the sussexes, and they get restless when h&m are quiet, so they start making shit up.

liz and harry are perfectly capable of arranging a visit at some point, if they both wanted to. whatever they agree on, neither of them would go running to the press. i’m still certain the queen is the only member of this family who’s even seen the sussex babies – regularly, probably.

as for the baptism, for fuck’s sake it doesn’t matter where a baby gets baptised. seriously, these babies don’t even have titles and are not supported by the british taxpayer, and yet the british media keep laying claim on them. aren’t there like half a dozen other royal kids right there on that island that they can hound and harass?
      my god…

      • lanne says:

It’s amazing that these ratchets think that harry and Meghan need to risk the lives of their children just to show them how dark skinned the babies are. Which of course is the only thing they want to know. F the ratchets with a chainsaw.

      • BayTampaBay says:

” there’s always a ton of manipulation built into these types of articles.”

For no other reason that to generate click$ for revenue$. This story in the Daily Fail by that Katie Nichol person generated 1.9k comments in 75 minutes. The majority of the comments reflected that “the people” do not want Harry & Meghan back in the UK for any reason whatsoever which is fine.

Meghan & Harry should just stay in the USA and let their family come to them if the family wants to visit.

      • BabsORIG says:

Naaaaaahhh, there are no “clicks” being generated by these articles, 90% on the tabloid commentariat are bots and/or their own staff.

      • Margaret says:

If you arrow up or down on a comment in the df you will realize they are the same comments repeated over and over. Even the bot count is a lie. Tap your arrow more than once and the numbers go up. The moral to this is the comment count and arrow count is fake. Take it all with a grain of salt from the salty isle.

      • Debbie says:

BTB: If it was true that “the people” didn’t want Meghan and Harry back in the UK for any reason, then “the people” would stop stalking her in print, writing about M&H’s every move, reading about them and commenting on them in such large numbers. So, let’s stop w/ the fallacy that “the people” don’t want anything to do with them. Secondly, whether they’re bots or peasants, these commenters don’t speak for the people. Even if they did, Harry was born there & they have no right to dictate whether or not he goes to the UK. What punks.

On another note, I’ve always thought that the headshot of Meghan above was one of the prettiest pictures ever taken of her.

  8. Eurydice says:

The travel ban was for foreign nationals coming into the US, so lifting the restriction doesn’t change anything for Harry, Meghan and the children.

The kids are 1/2 British, great-grandchildren to TQ and grandchildren of the FK – eventually they will visit their father’s birth country and family. Right now, there’s nothing that can be done about their age, or the Queen’s age, or Covid. Sometimes the stars just don’t align.

    • molly says:

Lili is barely THREE MONTHS OLD. That’s like, still brand new! Even in non-global pandemic times, taking an infant on an 11 hour, cross-continent flight is bonkers. Especially if they’re going to get browbeaten into flying commercial.

      • Eurydice says:

Exactly, the press are acting as if it’s no big deal to travel with an infant, let alone with Covid. Nothing but time can make Lili any older, and nothing can make the Queen younger and we all have to wait out Covid – so, there’s no point in this speculation at all.

And really, there’s no point in us talking about Charles popping over to Montecito for a quick peep at the grandkids, either. Prince Charles can’t just pop into the US without a raft of plans and meetings and security. Imagine if he was in the US and didn’t meet with Biden – we’d be talking about a diplomatic incident.

      • LMR says:

Which is hilarious of course because President Biden sure does not GAF about meeting with Prince Tampon. Ever.

  9. Amy Bee says:

This is why Harry has to write his book because these commentators and experts believe that they can speak for him and that they know what he’s thinking. I don’t believe a Christmas visit is on the cards because I get the impression that that event was hell on earth for them. The most logical time to visit the Queen would be around the time of the Invictus Games next year. As for the Queen not seeing Archie and Lili, Harry has said she used to see Archie on Zoom so it’s not like she doesn’t see them.

    • Snuffles says:

I agree. I think the current plan is to combine a visit with the Invictus games.

    • Becks1 says:

I agree re: Invictus and that just makes the most sense all around. Although in my personal opinion traveling with a 4 month old is easier in many ways than traveling with a 1 year old and 3 year old lol (at least one of the kids isn’t mobile!), that doesn’t take into account obviously the pandemic, and even if the queen is vaccinated, considering how many people she meets on a regular basis – I don’t think I’d be comfortable with my unvaccinated children hanging out with her really. IDK.

But at any rate, yes their kids are going back to the UK at some point and they’ll meet the queen.

      • BabsORIG says:

….if she’s still alive whenever the Sussexes deem it safe for the Sussex kids to travel.

The above is a continuation and completion of Becks1’s last sentence.😉

      • Christine says:

The “press” in England should be really embarrassed that we all know what their next move will be. You are exactly right, what a giant snow show (my son is trying to get me to stop cussing, you are unwitting victims). It doesn’t matter what Harry and Meghan do, they will be flayed for it.

  10. Ginger says:

The press want to paint the Queen as some sweet granny like figure and she isn’t. I think she is fine just seeing the kids on Zoom. It’s more projection from the press. I don’t think she sees her other great grandkids that much. I have no clue what Harry and Meghan’s plans are. They might go back before the end of the year and not tell anyone.

    • BothSidesNow says:

@ Ginger, and the RR know as much as we do, which is zilch!

I actually think that these idiots place the most disgusting ideas about Harry and Meghan, and place them in a hat. They pull from that hat every few days for another stupid, baseless and ill informed article. They have NO idea what Harry and Meghan plan to do. They have NO idea how Harry feels about his brother or his father for that matter. And why is it that’s it’s up to Harry to mend the “strain” on his relationships with them? They are the victims, NOT the vile, hatred and jealous ones!

    • Tanya Nguyen says:

You’re right. Many royal commentators have said the Queen doesn’t like babies and isn’t enamoured with any of the small kids and babies in her family. The queen isn’t eager to meet any new babies. Harry and meghan hopefully stay safe and healthy and not bother planning any trips. I hope they keep their mental and physical health as a priority.

  11. ModeratelyWealthy says:

By now has become pretty clear no matter what Harry and Meghan do, the RR will choose an angle to blame them for destroying the family or whatever because it is the only smokescreen they now have to hide that Pedo Andy, Lazy Willy, Petty Betty and Greedy Chaz are all various degrees of terrible, especially now social media showed the Cambs parading their children is no longer a guarantee pass.

  12. Sofia says:

Whether some like it or not, Harry has no issues with his grandmother and still adores her. Meghan doesn’t seem to have an issue either (and I know some will say “her being nice to the queen is strategic” but I doubt she would have named her daughter after her if she didn’t genuinely feel positively about the queen). So they may do a trip to go see her.

I also think it’s important to remember that we don’t know who they’re still in contact with in the UK. There’s Jack and Eugenie sure but we don’t know about friends, other relatives like the Spencers etc etc. So they may want to visit those people in person.

    • BabsORIG says:

@Sofia, this is true. Or maybe THOSE loved ones in England might hope on some planes and come visit the Sussexes? The Sussexes don’t always have to be the ones to uproot themselves to make other people happy or feel good about themselves.

  13. Merricat says:

Harry has no reason to feel guilty.

  14. LLo says:

This isn’t even insider knowledge. This is a supposed “royal reporter” making his own suggestions and guesses to create news and clicks. I wish people would stop falling for it. They throw out all these options as if it’s some breaking news and just expect people to believe it and then when one of the options happens or doesn’t happen they can say see I told you.
No one knows Harry and Meghans plans as we’ve noticed since they left the UK.
I’m sure they’ll be back at some point because they have charities they support.
In the meantime we’ll keep getting RR claiming to know what their plans are to get clicks and make money.

    • Amy Too says:

I don’t know…. They did manage to get the exclusive quote that the Queen is “getting older.” That was in quotation marks. Very inside information. And good thing they put this entirely new information in quotation marks because now I know that it’s actually true and coming from a reputable, inside source. I just wouldn’t have believed that the Queen’s body follows the same rules of aging as a normal peasant’s body otherwise.

      /s

  15. rawiya says:

Their internet don’t work or something? She can Zoom. Whatever. The woman doesn’t care about either of those two kids. And heaven forbid Lili is darker than Archie. The kids are fine where they are. Queenie is fine harbouring her nasty son. Erebody’s fine.

  16. Lucky Charm says:

Just because Harry and Meghan are vaccinated doesn’t mean they can travel internationally yet. The kids are both too young to be vaccinated and are still at high risk. Do these RR’s not understand that COVID exists and is dangerous???

  17. Margaret says:

The fuss over lillibets name, which was a honour to the queen, said a lot about the queen. Now sad Charlie can’t see his grandchild, and it would be a shame if the the oldie, but goodie can’t see her great grand daughter. Really people. The way that childs naming was dragged, with no response from either of them, said it all. I don’t think any of them give a toss.

  18. Rapunzel says:

They are hoping H&M will visit so they can get pics…of the kids in particular. The RRs desperately want pictures of the children for the money they bring. And to see how dark the little ones are, especially Lili.

    • Lorelei says:

@Rapunzel I don’t see this happening in the foreseeable future because Harry and Meghan are as stealth as tigers, but just *imagine* how much $$ the first photo of Lilibet would be for whichever photographer gets it. Brangelina got $14 MILLION for the first pics of their twins, and that was almost 15 (?) years ago!

I think the first photo of Lilibet that anyone will see will be released by the Sussexes. But the payday for that first pic is the stuff of dreams for paparazzi, so they’re probably trying.

      • Becks1 says:

@Lorelei that’s the only reason I am surprised they have not released a pic of Lili yet. Just something to remove the bounty. I’m sure there are prices out there among the paparazzi, they know exactly how much a picture would be worth, especially if its the first one.

  19. Dee says:

Breaking news! Royal rota is desperate for anything H & M to report on. That is all.

    • Agreatreckoning says:

LOL. More breaking news: The Queen is getting older and RR’s are determining Harry’s feelings (again)!

  20. RoRo says:

I would love it if they could go to the UK, have a baptism for Princess Montecito, get back to the US, THEN release their trip, with pictures of them with the Queen. The British media would have a meltdown.

    • Lorelei says:

@Roro that would be so delightful to watch if it happened. Meltdowns of absolutely epic proportions, of all of the worst people. 🤞

  21. Snuffles says:

I would just like to once again say, there is no reason why the royal family can’t come to CALIFORNIA instead! I get the Queen because of her age, but the rest of them can hop their asses on a plane to Montecito if they really wanted to. The Spencers too!

  22. harla says:

I recall Harry saying that flying into London was hugely triggering for him, can you imagine how Meghan would feel? I would probably start throwing up just booking the tickets. And why is the onus of reconciliation always on Harry, the one who was bullied out? If the royal family indeed wants reconciliation then they need to do the work not the Harry.

    • Lorelei says:

@Harla ITA. I feel like they (and as a result, we, lol) are going to be stuck in this cycle for years. The BRF keeps bringing up this “reconciliation” to make themselves look good, but at the same time, they will never make a formal statement that the bullying accusations were false, or publicly apologize to the Sussexes in any way.

They’ll continue to keep the reconciliation narrative going for-freaking-ever, but they will always put the onus on the Sussexes, which is absolute bs. It’s going to be like Groundhog Day with this for a loooooong time. But I applaud the Sussexes for standing their ground. They deserve an apology (at the VERY LEAST).

  23. Aphra says:

Anyone know the name of the pretty blonde behind Harry in the first photo? Hard to looks stylish next to Meghan, and she pulls it off!

  24. taris says:

yay, more ‘experts’ telling us what harry is thinking…

  25. Catherine says:

The carnival had all sorts of predictions for what was going to happen in September. They had the Sussexes returning for a second Diana dedication. Then it was them returning for Harry’s birthday. Then it was then returning for a christening. Then it was then returning for a summit meeting to solve the conflict. Then it was Harry returning for joint engagements with William. ETC. It’s clear now that the Sussexes had plans but none of those plans involved England. The carnival has been loud and wrong so now they are moving on to Christmas predictions. And playing the guilt trip game. They know nothing but are desperate for the Sussexes to return because they are the moneymakers. If/when they return it won’t be for some big reconciliation. It will be because they want to continue their work there and anytime time they spend with the BRF will fit in around that. I don’t think the Sussexes are prioritizing any sort of unity that doesn’t include acknowledgment of the pain Meghan went through. The British media and the royal family are desperate for anything they can call a reconciliation because they want to be able to dismiss what happened to Meghan.

    • Lorelei says:

@Catherine, they even said it about his birthday? LMAO. I must have missed that. Because yeah, men in their thirties generally travel long distances to celebrate their birthdays with their grandmother. FGS

    • Nyro says:

Yeah, what happened to the big statue unveiling part 2?

  26. lunchcoma says:

I suspect this is mostly made up by the press, who want pictures, or pushed by the royals to distract from their other problems.

Neither the Queen nor Charles was a particularly involved parent. I don’t see much to make me believe they’re unusually doting as grandparents or great-grandparents. How many children spent that much time with their great-grandparents anyway?

  27. Elizabeth says:

I honestly don’t get the big deal about being christened in Windsor. Are M+H practicing active, practicing members of the CoE? Has Archie ever set foot in a church since his christening? Or is it just about the photo op/prestige? I don’t mean that to sound judged I’m sincerely curious as to the significance to them

    • Becks1 says:

I think its more about tradition than anything. William and Kate rarely attend church but they christened all three of their kids. Also, since Archie had the christening at Windsor with the replica ceremonial gown, they probably want that for Lili, so things are “equal” when the kids look at pictures or whatever of their christenings in the future and Lili wants to know why her christening wasn’t as “important” as Archie’s.

I’m the youngest child. I know these things. LOL.

      • Jais says:

I get they want it to be equal but post-christening pics on the beach with Oprah, Serena, and Tyler Perry seems pretty equal…if not weighing more lol. But yeah, I get them wanting it to be similar but it could be epic in different ways. At the end of the day, they can do it as they want and see fit.

  28. Elsa says:

We are not a toxic island. Please remember the messages of kindness that are supposed to permeate sites that hold people’s attention. There’s influence here.
I would never have dreamed of referring to the US as a land of “x,y,z” purely because of the unbelievable tirades of the former President.
All that the aides of the Queen have done should be laid at their door.
67 million men, women and children live here.
We are families and friends and co-workers, not a toxic island.
    And that’s my piece.
    -Elsa

    • Janeeys says:

100% Elsa. Reducing a diverse people from multiple nations to toxic and salty is offensive generalisation and othering at its worst.

    • Lorelei says:

@Elsa I think most of us do know that, at least on this site. I know many wonderful British people who were horrified at Meghan’s treatment. As an American I know how hard it is when you feel like you’re being grouped in with the absolute *worst* people your country has to offer, when people would simply refer to “Americans” during the Trump years.

But those of us with at least one working brain cell absolutely know that not all of you are like that!

  29. Concern Fae says:

They could go to Grandma’s for Thanksgiving! (Yes, it’s a joke.)

  30. Over it says:

The queen hasn’t seen or the RR hasn’t seen, Harry said he zooms with his granny, so she sees the kids plenty.

  31. Vivica says:

Here’s my FanFiction: After NYC, they secretly fly to the UK. However, Doria is already there with 2 trusted nannies and/or cast members of the James Bond movie that were traveling with the kids so Doria could go incognito. They all meet up at Elton’s place so no one has a clue then boom, you hear about it as they are flying back to CA.

    • Amy Too says:

I think that would be an interesting way to do it. All this speculation/statements about how the Sussexes are not bringing the kids to New York. But what if Doria brings them to NY, they spend a couple of days there as a family, then continue on to the UK for meet and greets with the Queen and a private christening? That would be a great way to break up a super long flight. There was random speculation about a September trip that Harry wanted to take to see the Queen, maybe there was some tiny kernel of truth in there that got out somehow or maybe it was just completely made up nonsense that could happen to be correct.

That’s what I would do. While the UK press is consumed and distracted with spitting fiery hate about how woke and expensive I looked in Central Park at my latest engagement, I’m actually stealthily having tea with the Queen, and they have no idea. All their photogs and reporters are in NY trying to interview the bellhop at a hotel they think I might have stayed at, and that leaves less of them for me to dodge in London/Windsor. I also think it would enrage the UK press so that’s a bonus.

  32. 809Matriarch says:

These morons do not realize that Harry and Meghan are now running several businesses. They also have children who are TOO YOUNG to be vaccinated! I don’t see any reason to drag those babies to that horrid country when the Kween and her minions don’t even want to provide security for them and have decided to treat them like bastards at a family reunion. No titles. No security. No Ma’am.

    • L4frimaire says:

Exactly. They have jobs and commitments. These people are so contradictory. First it was how dare they attempt to show their faces here to christen their child with the stolen name. Now it’s they better come over here or they’re horrible if they don’t. It seems anytime the Sussexes have anything going on, all of a sudden the press insist they have to go back to the UK to get snubbed by someone.
