Do you invite prosperity?

“Paula M. Parker, what a platitude.”

That remark on LinkedIn came from someone who disagreed with my comment to Dan Price, founder and CEO of Gravity Payments. Dan thinks billionaires don’t pay enough in taxes. So, let’s look at the numbers. “The top 1% paid a greater share of individual income taxes (38.5%) than the bottom 90% combined (29.9%),” according to Taxfoundation.org. My comment, “When has bellyaching about billionaires made anyone rich? I’d rather use principles that invite prosperity not push it away.” Let’s look.

1. For millennia, ascended masters, alchemists and metaphysicians understood this principle. Genuine wealth is a state of consciousness and a realization that you are connected to an eternal and infinite resource. Call this resource, God, The Universe, Quantum Field, Harriet, whatever you like.

This “Prima Materia,” the basis of all matter, is considered the originating sustenance of all things, including money. The simple version? Wealth starts as a “feeling” inside of you. The principle teaches get quiet and close your eyes. Go inward. Immerse yourself in the feeling of wealth. A fact. You don’t need money to invoke the feeling of wealth because your body can’t tell the difference between what you imagine and what is real. Imagination is free. Its available to everyone. Spiritual wealth is feeling happy, abundant, balanced, etc. It comes before material wealth, your money-making business, investment portfolio, house, etc.

Do you just sit on the couch and ooohm money? There’s more to it than that. And the feeling requires action. But a consistent wealth consciousness is the internal cause. The effect is your tangible stuff.  “As above, so below, as within, so without, as the universe, so the soul,” said Hermes Trismegistus.

2. What wealth isn’t. Calling all billionaires evil. Instigating class war. Demonizing money. Some people shriek this through a bullhorn and expect wealth. It doesn’t work. Because feelings of resentment, anger and envy are among the lowest on the scale of human emotion. Spoken or unspoken, these feelings repel money.

What invites prosperity? I’m not talking about careers or businesses here. I’m discussing metaphysical psychology, the skill to deliberately lead your mind. So, ignore the folks with the bullhorn. Be aware of every word in every situation every day because “with my thoughts I create.” Thoughts are seeds. I’ve never seen someone plant artichoke seeds and pick zucchini. What’s in your seed packet?

People have been arguing about money since forever. It’s stale. Why argue about money? Invite it. Maybe we teach the metaphysical meaning of wealth. Individual freedom. And plant prosperity seeds into the minds of all who choose it. This approach takes practice, but the gain far exceeds the effort. My view? Teaching wealth is an energy that begins on the inside first, it doesn’t care who you are or where you’re from. It's a place to start. And it invites everyone.
