I keep getting an error saying, "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later."

trying again later doesn't work, I keeps giving me the same message.

I have the same problem. It seems like an issue with Apple's servers. Not Lion GM.

I've upgraded three friends' machines to Lion. FaceTime works on only 1 of them.

The only differences I can work out is the ID that works has never been used with iCloud/iOS 5 and the computer never had FaceTime installed on Snow Leopard. Possibly just a coincidence though.

I had a problem with Facetime, but on Snow Leopard...
I asked a genius about it... they told me to bring it in. I went home, said "screw that," and deleted the app, re-downloaded from Mac App Store, and it worked fine. I'm not using the Lion GM anymore and I haven't tried it on Lion, but try that. :)

I have now upgraded 4 Macs in the family and only the users who also have iOS 5 beta are having issues (2 of 4). I'm going to guess the extra FaceTime features in iOS 5 are tripping up the sign in somehow.

FaceTime doesn't work for me either, I get the same response every hour I try to register: "The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later."

.... kind of not sure if I should've spent that $30 to upgrade my OS on my Mac Mini?

Will they even be able to fix this issue somehow?
