The example of Jesus is one that we cannot simply imitate on the first try, with no help from anyone else, and void of any real surrender to God and his Holy Spirit. The verses that follow the description of Christ are in a way saying, "now it's your turn." The same kind of life that Christ lived when it comes to faith, hope, and love, is what we are to work into our lives on daily basis. It's not easy. We have to wrestle with tough issues, while at the same time joyfully approaching each day because God is with us and his mercy is new every morning. May we work toward making this a reality in our lives above anything else. Amen.

In Christ,

Adam
