Look What's On Tony Stark's Workbench In Iron Man

Click to viewWe already knew Iron Man was full of little "easter eggs" and clues about the future of the Marvel movies. And now it looks as though one more hidden clue has turned up. Just look at this screengrab from the movie's trailer, and then compare it with a picture of the same scene in the final movie, to see what was added. Spoilers ahead. Update: A reader sent us a better quality picture that shows the alleged item.

This is from the scene where Gwyneth Paltrow walks in on Tony having his armor removed, and he says, "Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing." Take a look at the bottom left-hand side of the image, under Tony's arm — notice anything different? It looks like Captain America's shield, complete with familiar white star painted on it. It must have been added at the last minute, to tease fans about the upcoming Avengers and Captain America movies. Says reader Nate, "the shield is partially built and it looks to be segmented, like it could expand or generate some form of energy." [Thanks to Nate]
