Caron Butler rolling with cycling routine

If you want to read up on Caron Butler’s injury rehab, you can start at ESPNDallas.com and then proceed to Bicycling.com.

Seriously.

The latest issue of “Bicycling” magazine has a profile on Butler that went to press before the knee injury he suffered Jan. 1 in Milwaukee that has been listed by the team as a season-ending injury.

As an update to that story, Butler talked to the magazine’s website to explain how cycling – which Butler credits for helping him arrive to town training camp in sterling shape – will factor into his rehabilitation program.

“[Cycling] was one of my main methods of training,” Butler told the magazine. “A year earlier, I had one of the best years of my career, and it was because of less wear and tear on my body."

As for where he stands in his recovery, Butler appeared on “Galloway & Company” this week and insisted again that he thinks he can make it back for the playoffs.

“It’s something I’m totally capable of doing,” Butler said in the radio interview.
