Weekly Video Message

In this week’s video message, I talk about American Education Week and how much I appreciate our RCSD employees and all they do to help ensure our scholars receive high-quality learning experiences each and every day.

This week, we celebrated School Support Professionals. I am so grateful for all this amazing team does to help keep our schools running smoothly and our students safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

I also want to recognize our RCSD families. While National Parent Involvement Day was yesterday, I think we all can agree that a parent’s job is every day of the week, 24/7. Thank you for the powerful contributions that parents and caregivers provide at home and at school to support student success.

Today is Substitute Educators’ Day. We could not do this important work without our dedicated substitute teachers, who play a critical role in making sure our scholars are learning in a welcoming environment.

Are you inspired to do this important work and make an impact on a young person’s life?
We are hiring now and have openings in many areas, including food service, school security, transportation, clerical, paraprofessionals, and per diem substitute teachers. Please visit the Office of Human Capital website at www.rcsdk12.org/hc for more information on current openings.

As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday next week, I want to remind students and families that there is no school on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I hope you are able to enjoy this time with those who mean the most.
