About this event

This one-hour seminar will provide participants with an understanding of how the vaccines are made, regulations that ensure vaccine safety, policy that enabled or prohibited the development and distribution of the vaccine, when they may receive the vaccination, and how receiving or not receiving the vaccine may impact themselves and others. Speakers include Dr. Matt Taylor, focusing on vaccine creation and function; Dr. Seth Walk, speaking about rapid tests and testing procedures; Dr. Liz Shanahan, addressing public policy and trust; and Mr. Christopher Coburn addressing community health response and gubernatorial transition. Each speaker will present for approximately 8 minutes and then the event will be opened for live Q&A. The Burton K. Wheeler Center is proud to host this first ever Politics and Pizza Lecture in partnership with the MSU Political Science Department.
