Yes, but it's to show the weapon stacks? So after a shot, she gets a buff above her head, next shot doesn't change the buff, third shot it changes the buff to the second state and the fourth shot shows that attack and same for the next ones.
It's literally showcasing the weapon as per the title.

Great showcase. Just a reminder for anyone watching that might forget; Yelan is getting buffs here during her ult from her A4 that she wouldn't normally get if you swap her out.
The monster is also lvl 69 while shes 90, the weapon has a fairly good dmg passive, when most f2p weapons ur realistically using on her will not have a passive that boosts her personal dmg on Q, and like u said she's using her own A4 dmg buff that she won't in a team, the only demerit to her in this vid comparatively to an actual use of the charc is her A1 passive.
She's also using a 2pc/2pc most ppl won't even use for a multitude of reasons.

I calculated for 2 of my builds, both fav bow, lvl 85, lvl 9 talent
22k hp, 70/140, 4 emblem with 270 er, giving 4k per atk(on crit)
28k hp, 80/160, 2 emblem(no other set), 230 er, 3.8k per atk(on crit)
Passive was counted for 3 different elements. At lvl 85 she has around 14.8k hp. Low hp cause only 2 hp rolls+ er sands on first one, 2 hp% + hp sands on 2nd.
If anyone thinks the numbers are incorrect, i swapped it with this video's stats and numbers matched lol. Or well, do the math with the given nos.
This video is heavily misleading, so its gonna be fun when she launches. Shitty er, bis bow, no wasted stats and I feel like most people overestimate the hp shes gonna have, that's the issue here.
Its more than xing, definitely. But not as high as 6-7k unless its a cracked build, and i believe my stats are kinda high already.
agree, i tried my build using 2 piece millelith and 2 piece hod with a thundering pulse with 56/176 ratio, 38k hp and according to my calculation it will be only about 4,2k(on crit) against lv 100 ruin guard
Did you forget to multiply by your hydro damage bonus? You'll be critting for 6600 damage: 38000 * .0877 * 2.74 * .9 * 1.61 / 2 = 6615.644238
And with kazuha the crits go above 10k: 38000 * .0877 * 2.74 * 1.15 * 1.91 / 2 = 10028.476583

Right? This is peak F2P performance and you have to factor in the huge need for ER since you need a burst like this always up. This build has perfectly distributed artifact rolls with no undesirable stats and the most offensive 2pc sets when she will likely need an ER focused set/build so that she can battery herself.
For reference on the numbers u said u got with her i just tried my XQ with emblem, thats lvl 80 and 11 on Q, solo vs a Liyue Ruin guard (lvl 80) and with 125 C.D sac sword he was doing around 4.2k per crit on his Q.
With Amenoma which isn't used on him but solo i cant use lion roar so i went that, he was doing around 4.8k with 1.9k atk, her dmg should be a bit higher than that for most ppl when she comes out but this video dmg is fairly misleading imo.
If the leaker wants to make a really good showcase then do her on a 4 man party with 4 different elements+fav bow+emblem set, then take Hutao and use Hutao to proc her Q but never activate Hutao E so u trigger ppl even more.
Eh, not really. Xing wont have enough cr, nor the non-sac sword scenarios so he doesnt really do as much as her. My sac emblem does around 4.4k too, but it really doesnt compare when yelans will have around 70 cr to his 55/60. Overall tho, i definitely feel people are overestimating her dmg.
i’m pretty sure fading twilight is gonna be the free weapon next update, also i can’t think of a 4 pc bonus that would be good for yelan except maybe noblesse or emblem

I thought EoSF was Yelan’s main set, or is the double two piece better?
Both EoSF and 2p hydro / 2p Millileth seem to be very viable. HP% is a very strong substat for Yelan. My personal view is that 4p EoSF would be optimal, but it's hard to say for sure without a side-by-side test.
Would say that it probably comes down to which of your sets have better overall stats, and how much ER she will be on (plus a single hydro or double hydro team for particles). Also consider that a 2p/2p set is generally more flexible to put together.
That being said, a lot of people have been farming EoSF for many months now so having a 4p set probably isn't that restrictive at this point.

Yeah I don't see any reason why 2p Noblesse wouldn't work for her, if you have some decent artifacts on those sets laying around. You're just trading a little less damage on her E skill for a bit more damage on the burst.
Probably the thing you'd want to make sure is you're getting enough ER, but Favonius Bow seems to be a strong choice for her and takes care of a lot of her ER needs.
Imo, there are two ways to build Yelan.
If you want Yelan to be your only hydro character in the team, then EoSF + Favonius Bow is the best option. It provides extra particles generation and an insane amount of ER which makes sustaining her burst very easy. It also makes her a potential battery for any character, her charged attack mechanic works really well with the CD of the Favonius particle effect if you have a high rank bow.
If you want to push Yelan's damage as much as possible, then you'll need a second hydro character to be her battery, so you don't waste a bunch of stats in ER. You will want her signature weapon (which massively outperforms any other option), and in that case 2p hp%/2p hydro will slightly outperform EoSF.
The first build is F2P friendly and extremely versatile, and deals a very respectable amount of damage (with good artifacts and maxed skills, roughly 5k/burst proc on average). The second build is less adaptable, will require her signature weapon and an hydro battery, but will significantly increase Yelan's damage output (roughly 7-7.5k/burst proc on average).

I just need some confirmation.. Is she a direct Xingqiu 2.0?? For a second team or are there any caveats?
She trades Xingqiu's Damage mitigation and chip heals for a DMG buff that ramps up, and iirc (correct me if wrong) her hydro application isn't as good as xingqiu, but it only matters in hu tao comps. (just put Xingqiu with hu tao and yelan in a different team)

One question, cause i didn't understand the part with Hutao... but Yelan should work well with Hutao in theory no? and why she doesn't work well? i mean, the nerf 1.5u ->1.0u ruins her synergy with Hutao? cause Xingqiu applies 1.0u and works very well with Hutao.
Welp, only 5k? My XQ who is far from being in the most optimal state, does 5k per proc... kinda expected more dmg from her...
I can guaran-fucking-tee that with her matching 5* weapon, her damage will skyrocket, but ONLY with that weapon. That is what Mihoyo is doing now.
My Yae Miko with Skyward Atlas has 2,700 attack, around 65/160 crit stats, and she doesn't hit CLOSE to people who have Kagura's Verity.

Um I don't mean to be critical or provide unwanted advice or anything, but it's possible you might see a bit of a better damage output if you sacrifice some of your attack stat for crit rate or crit damage. Ofc high attack is good, but 2700 might be a bit excessive, especially if you're losing out on crit stats. I think your crit rate is fine enough, so I would suggest looking to increase crit damage.
Nah, it's more once you factor in her A1 and A4 passives. Either that or pretty crappy artifacts were used in the calculation.
Her a4 passive doesn't boost her tho since she will be off the field.....idk why anyone would use her on the field after her burst unless they are trynna make her a main dps
you can expect much more than 5k proc's lol, 10-15k will be the average if you can get a good crit ratio (60/200) + 30k+ HP on emblem set and no Signature weapon
you can see her doing more than 5k procs already here in this video with f2p weapon , averaging 7/8 k procs
60/200 is extremely hard to reach unless both the character and weapon have crit stats.

Depends on what you want to do with her but eosf is likely best in most cases. I'm personally building 2 tom/2hod with er/hydro/hp.

How does fading twilight lose stacks? Or, how long does it take for the stacks to reset?
It doesn’t lose but changes between the buffs when you hit an opponent, but you can only change between them every 7 seconds. You can see the passive In the video
Oh, so it never goes to zero buffs. Once you get to the third state, it'll cycle to the first one again on the next state change.
I thought it would like, stay at the third, but then revert back to none after an unknown time out of combat or something.
so basically u get one of the three dmg buffs (12%, 20%, and 28% respectively at r5) when u hit an opponent. the buff lasts for 7s. once the first buff (12%) expires, u get another buff (20%) for 7s as long as the character wielding this bow damages/hits an opponent, both on-field and off-field. the cycle repeats until you reach 28% and it then resets back to 12%.
So at the start of rotations, it's random? There's 1/3 chance that it starts at the highest level? I always thought it started at lowest level then ramps up every 7s, then cycles back to lowest?
i just checked it again on honey impact and it's actually from lowest to highest, and not random like i said lol

Can someone explain how she's getting her Breakthrough Barb Shots? I thought it was said that she could only enter the state if she's out of combat for 5 seconds?
Yeah it is. Shes only getting the barbs here because the hillichurl isnt registered as an enemy as it does not attack. Meaning he is still technically out of combat.
Also it can be activated if she is switched out for 5 seconds.
Oh, does the Out of Combat mechanic also work when she's off field? I thought they stated its only during her being on field?
I think it stated off field, but as seen in some videos she gets her barbs back even when shes the only one on field so pretty sure it also works with her being out of combat and also off field.

It could be good for a support Ganyu. For Aloy, I don't think so. Aloy does not need much energy recharge since her burst only costs 40 energy and Stringless enables her to do big melts on her burst. There is also Sacrificial Bow if you want Aloy to be a battery.
Actually, I'm running Aloy with Ganyu as a nuker/battery so I might take your advice on giving her the Sac Bow. Thanks very much!
Even if I didn't have 5star bows... since alley hunter and stringless exist I wouldn't take this bow as an option for ganyu supp because you would have to force the weapon's passive slowing down rotations, I kinda see it like prototype crescent but even more inconsistent
sara, burst support ganyu, aloy, gorou.and fischl.. would be ideal to run 4 piece emblem with this weapon except for gorou and fisch of course
It's great for any standard attack/dmg%/crit character. High base attack, ER to top off any ER substats you already have without overcapping. Dmg% passive which is pretty hard to overcap on.
I will use it on Venti cause why not.Trading his favo bow to yelan.
Yoimiya's auros blaze, fischl's falling thunder but not the skill damage as that snapshots. Ganyu snapshots unfortunately, and while it would work on Aloy, there are far better options since she's on-field.

I don't understand why it have high base atk and low ER when its made for Yelan. Atk is useless for her They should've Reduced Atk and given more ER
For Yelan, it's not perfect. But high base attack, ER% substat, damage% passive is great for a generalist bow.

Giving the bow high Atk and lower ER makes it a more universal option for all bow characters and also makes it a “good, but not best” option for Yelan
Which is great for this bow but why did they make the Cinnabar spindle the opposite so that its amazing on Albedo and trash on anyone else?
Albedo needed a signature weapon and it's better than having a 5* weapon that is good on only one character. (Like the donut) Cinnabar Spindle is only good on Albedo for now but we will eventually have a Def scaling sword user, especially if it's a geo character since this element is tied to def.
Albedo is pretty much an exception. Most of the freebie weapons are generalist choices that work for a variety of character. Even Dodoco Tales which is supposedly Klee's signature works pretty well on Yanfei and Ningguang.
In all honesty, at that point in time, Albedo was kinda outdated as a unit and is rather unappealing to meta rollers (he still does decent damage but had too many drawbacks). The introduction of Corrosion threatened the only niche he was good at (running Harbinger of Dawn on Zhongli teams). The Spindle, along with the Husk set, fixes that issue and pretty much doubled his off-field dps, making him highly desirable (still many drawbacks, but the damage is now worth it).
Albedo's mechanic is currently unique as a DEF scaling off-field dps based around his E skill. So they could design a weapon that works specifically for him and made it free. It's effectively a direct, targetted buff for Albedo.
They did it. Festering desire but unfortunately it loses even to a 3 star sword for albedo. I doubt this bow will lose to a 3 star bow.
It's not yelan exclusive bow now because of the decent stats though. More characters can use it unlike the cinnabar spindle.
Other than the Albedo sword I don't think the 4-star event weapons are really designed to be perfect fits like the 5-star weapons are.

The bow is generically very good, not just for Yelan. High base attack, ER and generic damage on passive. Any subDPS in the future will be able to use it.
It’s released alongside Yelan doesn’t mean it’s specifically made for her. The only one exception is albedo. This bow’s stat is good enough for her and other bow users can appreciate its stats as well
What makes you think it was made specifically for her? Even Kokomi 4* weapon is not that good on her.
Well kokomi’s weapon is for yae, which is why it gives energy recharge when using an elemental skill. It’s not farfetched to think that the f2p weapon that comes out during yelan’s banner is made for yelan. Plus it has a specific line that allows it to trigger off field, just like her 5* signature weapon.

Same thing with the catch, it’s raiden’s best f2p weapon but it doesn’t necessarily match her aesthetic. The aesthetic match-up is only reserved for their BiS 5star weapon.
That weapon wasn't for Kokomi. It was for Yae.
Fits Mona decently well aesthetically and probably one of her best 4 star options. But agree it was obviously released for yae

Yeah, IMO this bow fit kujou sara kit more compared to yelan, very high base ATK and ER stat, not to mention it also give dmg bonus which is mean, it is the best stat to buff sara personal dmg since none of her talent, constellation, or even ascension offer dmg bonus. Maybe this is fastering situation again, fastering ER stat is pointless for albedo, but this sword is good for characters like bennet and jean since they need ER + elemental skill spammer

You are not supposed to use it like that. It’s nearly immediate after the E or it’s automatic after 5 second out, which is why it seems long here.

What do you mean? At least according to my own calculations, xingqiu and yelan probably do similar personal dmg with sac weapons(not too sure yet. Need to test rotations.) the only difference is the dmg% buff which means yelan contributes more team dmg. But it is not really that big of a difference depending on how much dmg% your main dps has and how much dmg your main dps can do. Should be around 10-15% more dmg on your main dps which means 6-8% more team dps.
Koinzell has a detailed maths video comparing Yelan and C6 Xingqiu damage with multiple weapons, and the difference is quite noticable. You can go check it out.

You are comparing a C6 xingqiu to a C0 Yelan. A C6 4* is usually harder to obtain than a C0 5*.
With the same stats as Yelan, C6 xingqiu hits for somewhat less

You can simply aim for less ER subs on your artifacts to even if out tbh, most times shes goons need to rotate e and q so you’ll need ER anyway

Unlike most, I don't really see the value in getting a second xingqiu. She's only slightly better or worse in different areas. Her skill and bow passive are cool but I don't think it's enough.
She's made specially for the whales, it seems.
Yelan looks great for purpose but there are so many teams now that dont use xingqiu you can easily not get her and be fine.
She is for who needs a second XQ, or hate XQ (Me). But yes, she is not a "must have" like someone said. Because as you said, is just a XQ with little differences. Is not like Sucrose and Kazuha

The principal value is exactly that. Xingqiu is used in A LOT of teams,is like bennet. His only flaw is that you only have 1 and use 2 teams in abyss. Now with 2 "xingqiu" the teams building will be easier
I disagree. You rarely ever need two Xingqiu. Let’s look at the meta teams. Vape has many competitive hydro options like Childe and Ayato. Freeze prefers more AoE hydro application like Kokomi or Mona. Taser teams also have competitive hydro options like Ayato and Kokomi, while OG Taser much prefers Xingqiu for his defensive utility because it lacks healing. Unless you play both Raiden National and Hu Tao, there is no reason to have both Xingqiu and Yelan unless you just hate the guy.
Where would you replace xingqiu tho? She doesn't have enough hydro for hutao, shorter burst duration is a problem for rational, taser values xingqiu's defensive utility and healing.. Also, most xingqiu teams are single target focused, and you don't require single target on both sides
Realistically speaking people only use XQ a lot for stages where vapes exist, in the abyss you usually only use one vape team for one of the rooms so in most cases you won't need another XQ, you'll only use the one that gives the most performance in the best comp where you need to vape
Yelan is a solid St sub dps and is hydro element. She's not necessarily only a XQ replacement but can lead to new teams imo. Like raiden soup with yelan or mono hydro. If only hydro application is needed then yelan isn't much of a upgrade over a c6 XQ.

So in short, this weapon is pretty bad on Yelan, put it on your c6 Sara instead if you have it. Favonious Warbow is the only good 4* option for Yelan.

They are all kind of underwhelming on her, because her damage scales on HP.
Between the three Skyward Harp would be the best, though you could prefer a high ER bow with low Base ATK (Favonius would be great and better than the options you mentioned, it should be her 4 star BiS).
