 Dear Klaus:

The verdict is in: US weapons inspectors have found no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Gee, that’s surprising—considering that inspectors said the same thing in October 2003 and March 2004!

Yet, amazingly, President Bush still refuses to back down, denying he ever misled us. Instead, the administration is putting its own spin on the inspection report and downplaying the failure to find weapons.

Before the war, President Bush and his officials built a case for war based on false assertions about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction. This was a blunder of historic proportions that has cost over 1,000 U.S. soldiers’ lives and those of thousands of Iraqis (not to mention $200 Billion). And the war has no end in sight.

What will it take to get the President to apologize to the American public—and the world? Really, it’s the least he can do.

We can’t allow Bush to continue this farce. We’ve created a clever petition, asking Bush to admit he was wrong during this Friday’s presidential debate, and we’re putting it on Washingtonpost.com! Please check it out right now and add your name!

Please tell your friends about our petition! We need your help to spread the truth about Bush's statements. Not only will this campaign give us an important way to pressure Bush, it will educate many more Americans about the intelligence failures in Iraq.

Let's hold Bush accountable for misleading us into this costly war.
Please do your part to help this crucial campaign!

Together we can make a difference!

Best,

Tom and Rebecca
