That's probably close to 100%. When something like that happens I always
wonder what the political motivation is. It's all about who you are and
if you did something to oppose the power structure. Those who play ball

Well dear boy of little knowledge, I will have you know that in Ohio
such cameras are totally illegal. Why? Because state law says only an
officer of the law can cite for an observed violation. Every camera
that's been challenged in Ohio has been taken down for this reason.

Radar cameras are installed purely for making money.

Do you know how radar works? I do and I'll bet I can beat any citation
issued. What they should do is install "lidar" cameras. That way the
beam is focused on only one vehicle at a time and there is no question
as to what the speed was.

I know a person who was recently cited in Arizona for speed by an
officer. In Phoenix they use "roaming" cameras installed in cruisers.
One favorite spot is Northern ave as it looks over I-17.
The cop sits on the bridge and, while illegally blocking traffic, lets
the camera do the work.
This person was travelling in the outside HOV lane and the officer was
at the opposite end of the bridge. He was clocked allegedly at 70 in a
55.
My question is, at that angle, how exactly how did the camera get a
clear enough picture of the license plate to even read it properly?
His main argument is, if he was guilty, then how come the officer
didn't pursue him and personally cite him?
Why? Because of his position, it would have taken the officer to long
to get onto the highway and catch up to him.

In order to get a clear picture, the officer would have had to be
parked directly above that lane. And be out of his vehicle observing
the traffic.

Nothing more than an issue of "meeting the quota" and raising money.

Not always. I know of one place in Davenport, Iowa where they raised the
speed limit when they put one of those cameras in because they didn't want
to catch a lot of people.

It just so happens that same stretch of road had a fatal accident on it once
so they might be trying to catch something like that.
