Seconds after the kiss, Dalai Lama is seen sticking his tongue out and asking the boy to suck his tongue. The clip also captured the laughter of people in the background.
Since the circulation of the video, netizens took to different social media platforms to voice their anger. One user stated, "Shocking and disgusting! Honestly lost the respect I had for him. This child is feeling so awkward." Another person stated, "What the hell is this?! Isn’t this a crime? This will escalate as it should. Requires more scrutiny than a mere apology."
A third person opined, "But people there are smiling and clapping nor bemused by the act They didn't find it offensive and shocking as you sounded sitting in the comfort of yours."
