Sandyford Business District Art Exhibition & Taste of Sandyford

Dublin Culture Night, run by the Arts Council takes place on Friday September 22nd and this will be our 2nd year hosting an event on the night.
Following on from the success of last year’s Art Exhibition we will host another pop-up Art Gallery together with “A Taste of Sandyford” from 5pm to 9pm in 60 Holly Avenue in Stillorgan Business Park.
We will be giving local artists a platform to showcase and promote their work across a variety of mediums.
You are invited to attend this FREE event to view the artwork and sample food from some of the District's restaurants and suppliers.

A big thank you to the team from Covalen who were out and about yesterday doing their bit for the District's community.
They had two groups of litter pickers, one from their Trigon House office and another group from their Nova Atria office and even the weather was on their side!
As we have mentioned in previous editions of this newsletter, we have entered this year's DLR Tidy Districts competition with judging taking place around now and we have lots of initiatives already in place / planned for the District.

Call for views in response to proposal for a directive on common rules promoting the repair of goods
The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment is seeking input on a proposed EU Directive that aims to address the issue of premature disposal of repairable consumer goods across the EU.
It seeks to facilitate repair and reuse of goods, making it more convenient and cost-effective for consumers to repair rather than replace items. This initiative aligns with the goals of the European Green Deal, such as reducing waste and carbon emissions.
The proposal includes six policy options, including prioritising repair, establishing a national online platform for repairs and refurbished goods, and obligations for repairers and producers. Feedback on the draft directive is requested by September 8th, 2023.
