Established in 2015, The RecordShop was a free pop-up recording studio and artist development programme for young creatives founded by rap artist ‘WondRWomN’. Growing up, she identified that there were not enough opportunities available for young music artists to grow and develop, so she was determined to create a platform for upcoming musicians. The RecordShop run's four 10 week projects per year, where participants get the opportunity to create music, get mentorship and perform at ‘The RecShow’.

The RecordShop began as a voluntary social action project in 2015 as a pop-up recording studio that aimed to provide the opportunity for disadvantaged young people to have the experience to record and perform their music. In 2017 we officially launched our social enterprise, primarily working with young people and offering music opportunities in areas such as recording music, workshops, events and work experience.

Since launching in Tottenham, our achievements include:

- Basic Business Initiative UK: New Entrepreneur Mind Of The Year (2017)

- The Mayor Of London’s Culture Seeds Awards: People Powered Culture (2019)

- Anjool Malde Memorial Foundation: Young Social Entrepreneur Of The Year (2019)

- Persimmon Community Champion (2020)

- Top 25 Trailblazing Newcomers in 2020’s NatWest SE100 (2020)

- Top 25 Trailblazing Newcomers in 2021’s NatWest SE100 (2021)

- Sceptre Awards: Community Initiative of The Year (Highly Commended) (2021)
