EDUCATION CAPSULES
The best practices in teaching and educational development education capsule series was launched in January, 2020, in partnership between the Faculty Development Office and the Integrated Health and Social Services University Network for West-Central Montreal. New capsules will be uploaded over the course of the year.

RESOURCES FOR NEW FACULTY

In order to help new faculty in dealing with their new roles and responsibilities, the Faculty Development Office selected a number of articles and books which focus specifically on the issues faced, or questions raised, by new faculty. Consult this section to find out more.


FACULTY DEVELOPMENT TRAIN-THE-TRAINER PROGRAM WORKBOOK

The Faculty Development Train-the-Trainer Program aims to equip faculty members with the knowledge and tools to design and facilitate educational workshops in their settings on the following topics. This section of our website provides faculty members who took part in the Faculty Development Train-the-Trainer Program with the materials necessary to deliver these workshops.

PROMOTION RESOURCES

The Faculty Development Office, in collaboration with Academic Affairs, aims to help Ranked Contract Academic Staff reflect on the rationale that underlies the promotions process; understand the types of appointment and promotion criteria for Ranked Contract Academic Staff; be familiar with the key components of a teaching portfolio and the standard McGill CV; and outline the steps and timelines of the promotion process and the link between promotions and the annual performance review.
