SCATTERED CLOUDS. THE CHANCE FOR THIS -- MOST HAS BEEN OVER THE FOOTHILLS AS WE SQUEEZE OUT MORE RAIN IN POLLOCK PINES AS YOU GO UP THE HILL TOWARD KEIFER. ONCE YOU GET EAST, THE CHANCE OF SNOWFALL ALONG HIGHWAY 50. YOU WILL SEE IT IS SNOWING CURRENTLY IN KIRKWOOD. A SPOT LIKE ARNOLD MAY JUST SEE RAIN SHOWERS PASSING ON BY. CURRENTLY, IT IS A MILD START. MODESTO OUT THE DOOR IS 52. WE ARE WAKING UP TO 33 DEGREES ON THE SOUTH SHORE WHERE WE HAVE GONE AROUND WITH RAIN AND SNOW AND AT TIMES TURNING BACK TO SNOW. I EXPECT THAT FOR THE SNOW LEVEL TO SAY AROUND THE 6000 FOOT RANGE. AS WE MAKE OUR WAY INTO THE BACK HALF OF THE AFTERNOON, IT DOES START TO GET MORE ON THE BREEZY SIDE. THE BETTER CHANCE FOR SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON WITH US THUNDERSTORM AS WELL. HYZAAR IN THE LOW TO MID 50’S. THE ATMOSPHERIC RIVER WILL COME TOGETHER IN THE NEXT HOURS. I WILL TAKE YOU INTO LOOK AT THE SNOW LEVELS IN JUST A FEW MINUTES. BRIANA: AT THE AIRPORT BOULEVARD OFFRAMP, THESE ARE PEOPLE HEADING TO THE AIRPORT. IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S ON THE OFFRAMP. THERE IS A TWO VEHICLE CRASH THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT’S BLOCKING THE RAMP. IF YOU’RE HEADING THAT WAY, KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR THAT AS THEY WILL BE TRYING TO GET VEHICLES OUT OF THEIR TO OPEN THE LANE. THERE ARE FEWER THAN 10,000 PEOPLE WITHOUT POWER. IN TUOLUMNE COUNTY, THEY ARE DEALING WITH OVER 2500 CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER. PLACER COUNTY HAS SEVEN UNDER PLUS. NEVADA COUNTY AT ONE POINT HAD MORE THAN 6000 CUSTOMERS WITHOUT POWER. THAT NUMBER IS DOWN TO JUST 63 CUSTOMERS. WE LOOK AT THE OUTAGE SITUATION, THINGS ARE IMPROVING. AS YOU ALLUDED TO, WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THIS NEXT WAVE OF WEATHER COMES THROUGH. DEIRDRE: PG&E IS NOTHING ONLY AGENCY ON ALERT. TEO: THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES IS WORKING TO GET RESOURCES AND SPOTS AROUND CALIFORNIA TO PREPARE FOR FLOODING. LETICIA SHOWS US WHAT AGENCIES ARE DOING TO SAVE LIVES. Chain controls are still in effect. 6:30 p.m.: KCRA 3's Lee Anne Denyer was live from Tuolumne County providing a look at storm damage. 6:00 p.m.: 579 people are without power in Tuolumne County, which is a decline from over 4,000 people who were initially affected by outages. 5:46 p.m.: Here is an update on flooded roads in Sonora. 5:32 p.m.: A mobile home caught fire in Jamestown from downed power lines, Cal Fire said. Two people inside were rescued. This happened just after the tornado warning expired in the area. 5:29 p.m.: Sonora parks are closed because of the extreme weather. 5:20 p.m.: An evacuation warning has been issued for the Riverdale neighborhood in Modesto and surrounding areas. KCRA 3's Michelle Bandur reports. 3:40 p.m.: National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for the following areas: Copperopolis, Jamestown, Sonora, Tuolumne City, Twain Harte, Soulbyville, Columbia. The warning is valid until 6:15 p.m.3:20 p.m.: KCRA 3 meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn said that Doppler Radar indicated that the warning for Sonora in Tuolumne County expired. 2:40: p.m.: The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for parts of Tuolumne County. NWS said the warning is valid until 3:15 p.m. 2:15 p.m.: California Highway Patrol Truckee put out a reminder of chain control status in their responding area as of Saturday afternoon.2:00 p.m.: State Route 120 is closed from Hardin Flat Road to South Fork Tuolumne Bridge according to Caltrans. Crews are working to repair the road.1:50 p.m.: KCRA 3's team of meteorologists said that Doppler Radar indicates that the severe thunderstorm warning is in place until 2:45 p.m. for Tuolumne, Calaveras, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties.12:50 p.m.: The National Weather Service has placed a severe thunderstorm warning on San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County until 1:45 p.m on Saturday.7:28 a.m.: Here's a look at how yesterday's water rescue on the American River unfolded in Sacramento County.7:27 a.m.: More than 1,300 customers are still without power in Nevada County, according to a state dashboard. 7:24 a.m.: Chain controls are up for Sierra travelers. But another atmospheric storm next week has some rivers forecast again to go above flood stage.
