In her new bilingual children’s book, Esteban de Luna, Baby Rescuer!/Esteban de Luna,¡rescatador de bebés!, Dr. Larissa M. Mercado-López introduces us to a young boy who is growing a bit disappointed with his childhood toys – specifically a green cape which he loves.

Young Esteban realizes that his beloved green cape does not really bestow upon him the super powers that he desires. However, a visit to the park with his busy working mother and younger sister gives Esteban a chance to find new and perhaps unexpected powers and abilities within himself. The green cape turns out to be a useful partner after all.
