How to Clean Pesticide Most Contaminated Vegetables

There are many cases in which pesticides are used during cultivation to treat fruit and vegetables intended for sale. Although these pesticides are not good for health at all, their use is not prohibited by legislation if certain doses per hectare of land are not exceeded. Before eating it, we wash fruit and vegetables under running water but this is not enough to remove residues of any pesticides on their skin. Each food should be treated differently. Strawberries, for example, have a thin skin and you can’t think of washing them like you wash apples.

Let’s make sure to wash any food we will consume especially those we intend to consume raw. This gesture is essential if you intend to preserve your health, let’s not underestimate this action.

You will also know that simply washing them with water is not enough, obviously, you won’t be able to use soap either. To eliminate any pesticide residues you can use some specific ingredients.

Discover the most effective cleaning of these 12 foods often grown with the help of pesticides:

1. Potatoes

Potatoes are usually eaten without peel, but there are those who cook them without removing the peel. If you want to use them for a recipe in which you will need an unpeeled potato, put two tablespoons of coarse salt and a liter of water in a container and leave the potatoes to soak for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, rinse the potatoes by rubbing them well underwater.

2. Apples

If you like to eat bitten apples with all the peel, you are not completely wrong. The peel is rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Just make sure you clean it thoroughly. Put the apples in a container with 500 ml of water and a teaspoon of baking soda and leave them to soak for 15 minutes. Then rinse them and taste them.
