I was so excited about the book-a-day calendar that I won at the bookclub. I wanted to somehow share it with all my students. So I did, with a little help. We made posters with all the book descriptions and they now adorn the walls of my classroom. It ended up taking 10 posters to hold all 365 days of books. Here is a photo of some of the posters and my two fantastic students who helped, Lauren and Casey. Thanks for making reading more accessible to the 150 plus students who walk through my door each day.

Dear Suzanne:

I was so excited to win the book, No! I Don’t Want to Join a Book Club, through your book club. (Sort of an irony there!) As I mentioned in my entry, I am 59 years old, so I can relate to Virginia’s comments. Thank you so much for sending me the autographed copy. I’ve enclosed a photo of me enjoying it in one of my favorite reading spots, our solarium.

I also want to thank you for playing a large part in getting me reading for pleasure again. I was serving on our Friends of the Library board when we took on sponsorship of your book club. I felt an obligation to check it out, Whoosh! I was immediately hooked and began encouraging others to try it. You have introduced me to some books that I’ve really enjoyed. I also enjoy reading your daily column. We are privileged that you share your joys and struggles with us. We can relate.
