INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Four members of the Franklin women's basketball team were named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday (Mar. 25) afternoon. 

Seniors Taylor Cooney and Brooke Grinstead, junior Jordan Coon and sophomore Briley Munchel were each recognized for their work on the floor and in the classroom with the yearly honor, with each recording a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and meeting the participation requirements to qualify. All four will move to the national ballot with the Academic All-America selections to be announced in the coming weeks. 

Cooney and Coon became a two-time CSC Academic All-District selections while Grinstead and Munchel collected the honor for the first tme. All four were mainstays in Franklin's rotation throughout the year, helping the Grizzlies to a 15-11 finish in the 2024-25 campaign.
