Sir Frank Ledger (1899-1993) was a distinguished industrialist and philanthropist who, throughout his life, committed to driving positive change through technology and education. Thanks to a $1M donation from the Sir Frank Ledger Charitable Trust, Edith Cowan University is proud to continue Sir Frank’s legacy through the gift of endowed scholarships.   This donation is not just a financial contribution but a continuation of Sir Frank's legacy, ethos, values, and desire to benefit the community, reflected in the scholarships awarded to engineering students who embody his drive and commitment to academic excellence.   Together with our Vice-Chancellor Professor Steve Chapman, we had the pleasure of hosting Elizabeth Court, Richard Basham and Geoff Kidd, the trustees of the Sir Frank Ledger Charitable Trust, to unveil a plaque installed at the Engineering Manufacturing Workshop's entrance to acknowledge Sir Frank’s legacy. Caden Porter, this year’s scholarship awardee, joined our celebration. He is enrolled in the Bachelor of Aviation.
