WASHINGTON (7News) — More clouds than sun along with a few showers are expected on Sunday. Wet weather will continue around the DMV over the next few days.
Sunday will not be a washout; isolated showers are expected during the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
Overnight lows will fall into the 60s and 70s. Monday and Tuesday will bring more widespread rain and a few rumbles of thunder. Severe weather or flooding is not expected.
Tropical Depression Ten is expected to become Hurricane Idalia by Tuesday. Impacts to Florida and parts of the East Coast will occur mid-week. Impacts in the DMV as of now look to be minimal.
The front moves in Wednesday and will drop temperatures and humidity levels. As we head into September, a fall feel is expected with cool and crisp mornings and afternoons in the 70s.
