About the Event

Sampling demonstrations will be scheduled every 20 minutes starting at 9:00 AM, with the last demonstration starting at 12:00 PM. After learning how to take a sample of aquatic species using a hand rake, you will be given a rake to take with you while you paddle Owasco Lake. Owasco Paddles is offering special two hour rental rates for this event only, and you'll get a free half hour so that you can take a sample while out on the water! Then, bring your findings to shore to hear more about the species that you found.

Upon registration, please be sure to select a time and watercraft type. If you do not, you might have to wait for a later demonstration when boats will be availible.

COST: $20 for a singe kayak, or a SUP for 2 hours; $30 for a tandem kayak, or a canoe* for 2 hours

*Due to a limited number of two-person watercrafts, registration times for tandem kayaks and canoes are listed as 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. However, if you would like a different time feel free to contact Megan Harris (contact info to the left) about availibility.
