A friend asked me to find an original (very silly) Fu Manchu for Mayor poster. I did. It was $300 on eBay. And $150 on LeadPipePosters.com. The original was 30 x 45″.
From the eBay auction:
“Printed in 1965, it was used as a give-away for the theatrical release of The Face of Fu Manchu. This poster, widely seen in New York subways in 1965, satirized the mayoral candidacy of John Lindsay.”
Since my friend is too cheap to buy the real thing – I made this pdf for him to print at 11×17 inches:
11×17 Fu Manchu for Mayor Poster Art – 150 DPI
If you want to print one that looks vintage – use this one and trim it down (since color copiers don’t print all the way to the edge):
11×17 Fu Manchu for Mayor Poster Art – 150 DPI – ivory background
Oh my, that’s a lotta damn highlighter, honey:
Below – what Christopher Lee really looks like (again with too much makeup – this time it’s an abundance of lipstick!!):
